◉ Video + Action
Who: Clint Barton and you too.
When: Video now. Action applies throughout the past week.
Broadcast: Video from Clint's room aboard the First Breath.
Action: Between the First Breath and the forest's interior. Also, lately, the game room.
Video
Hey, this is Clint. Hawkeye.
[Clint is sitting on his bed in his room aboard the First Breath. He displays his hearing aids to the camera. They're purple, and in that way only are they interesting. Otherwise they're the old-school bulky loop-around-the-ear kind.]
For those that don't know, I can't hear a thing without these. And they don't work. Haven't since I got here. I turn them on now and again just in case something's changed but they just keep making this loud screeching sound. It doesn't matter what I do. And you know, even not hearing is better than hearing that. Now the batteries are dying, so even if they do start working again ... Look, I know some of you are great with tech. I don't know the first thing about fixing something like this, or batteries, or making hearing-aids from scratch if it came to that. Maybe it's a lost cause, but maybe not. Let me know if you think you can help.
[It seems weird just begging for help without anything to offer in return. It felt weird when he was making the decision to do this, and it feels weird now that he's asked. He looks about to end his broadcast, but he catches himself.]
If you do, maybe I can win you a prize in the game-room. Or, I don't know, catch you one of those a puppy-sized mice.
Action
[For the past week or so you might have encountered Clint on the planet, either on his way into the forest with an empty duffel bag, at one of the wrecks scavenging parts, or on his way out, bag hopefully heavier. If you're lucky he might have Lucky in tow, but on those trips he doesn't stray far from the ship.
As always, if you're a crew member of the First Breath, feel free to catch him there.
And when he's not in either place, find him in the game room, playing basically any game he can find that challenges either hand-eye co-ordination or manual dexterity.]

I'd be happy to help, of course. I haven't found anything in the way of usable supplies aboard the wrecked ship, but perhaps the waystations will have something to trade?

I'd definitely have more time to fix the noise-thing if I figured out the battery-thing.
Re: text;
[He may not be Tony Stark, but the Vision does at least have an Engineering augment and something of a knack with technology regardless.]

I might have an idea or two. [ instead, she speaks slowly -- movements of the mouth precise and careful. and then, afterwards, she flips him a thumbs up. ]

[ she's giving him a hard time, maybe, but the truth is she's surprised it didn't take him months more. ]

[The communicator devices. There's a fair amount of truth behind his sass. Considering how much of the fleet's communications are through video and audio, living on board it without his ears is sort of like being illiterate in the age of the letter. He's finally sick of it.
It, and other things.]

[ she watches as others reply with text. kate stubbornly doesn't. ]

And if I could hear myself again - I told Lucky to get off the bed yesterday and he looked at me like I'd raised my voice at him. What if I've been shouting at people this whole time and they've just been really nice about it?

[ she'd let him know so much. ]

I know some people who could help. I'll make sure they see this. Think I could borrow the current tech? See if we can get it fired up again? [Really, if it's just repairing something existing and it's not Atroma tech she thinks she could handle it herself.]
[text]
[If someone had asked him - why didn't you just go to Stark? Well, sure, that would be a fair question, but Tony Stark would probably try to enhance his hearing to superhuman levels or integrate his hearing aids with his communicator. There's no stopping that guy.]
[text]
Pretty sure I couldn't achieve that even if it was the goal, but I appreciate the vote of confidence. [Or whatever that was.]
I'm sure Winn and Cisco can figure it out if I can't. [Of course, they already have apparently, but she doesn't know that and Clint doesn't know that, so here they are.]
[text]
I don't mind giving you these if you think it'll help. I guess you'd only need one of them, right?
[text]
One will do it. Worst I can do is break it more.
[text]
[Deal? Deal.]
Got any other business on the First Breath? Or should I come to you?

[Not very encouraging, but Clint doesn't mean anything by it. The dog has no reason to recognize her name.]
But he got up when I said we should get outside so -- if you wanna come.

Did you know there are people here who don't know what dogs are? I was appalled.
Where should we meet?

Action (comics)!
It does look like a cookie, right?
[Clint smiles, watching her face the way he always does after asking a direct question. Watching for the movement of her lips.
She was just up there, so, she'd know better than anyone.]
The rocks are like the chocolate chips. And the trees - I don't know. Broccoli?
[Behind them is the shuttle he'd taken to get here, hatch closed. Clint is carrying a length of rope with a small hook on one end and Lucky is wearing a simple leash that he scratches at every so often. The dog remains un-teathered. For now.]
