Man I'm Just Trying To Shop For My Kid Here
Who: Otono-somethingsomething Makie and you
Broadcast: fleetwide audio.
Action: Junkstation
When: Soon after the events of this post.
[Audio]
There are slavers aboard the waystation who are actively seeking cargo. [The mildly courteous tone Makie is known for is absent, though she doesn't sound angry. Inflectionless. Possibly a little strained, if anyone knows her well enough.]
This is the second time I know of they've attempted to take someone, and this time they've succeeded. His name is... Max. He's a crew member of the Starstruck.

We know where he is. [Thanks to polite inquiries made of a survivor. Very polite inquiries.] We need assistance to retrieve him.
...and a doctor, also. Thank you.
[...totally asking for Tempest on that last one, okay.]

Audio
I'm one of the medical officers aboard the Heron. [More or less. Lab support staff. He's... well, he's about as close as he can get. And this medical assistance makes him useful.] May I ask where I can meet you and what injuries are involved? I'll need to bring the appropriate equipment or have you come to our medical bay.
Audio
I've sustained a gunshot to the shoulder. I don't think it's serious. [Though she sounds unsure. Makie's not actually used to guns. At all.] I believe my companion has ribs that are... cracked, at the least.
Audio
All right. I can take care of that. Please ensure you've got some pressure on your wound. Where are you, at present. It seems the best option is for me to come to you.
Audio
There are various people making their way here, should you need the escort.
Audio
[If she... can. That seems important to mention, at least. Monty's quick about gathering supplies and medicines before heading off to one of the Heron's shuttles to head over.]
((OOC: Should I go to an action thread, or were you going to have another collective log to do the meet up?))
Audio
((ooc: we can go to action! There's a log already up for people who want to attack the slavers which you're also welcome to join, it's linked in the broadcast post.))
Audio > Action
[And with that, he's off, gathering supplies and heading to the shuttle bay on the waystation. He sets down one of the Heron's shuttles... not gracefully, but he gets it down. Finding the injured isn't terribly difficult. There's blood... rather to be expected, but he tries to put on his best face and deal with that. He realizes rather suddenly that he never got this woman's name, but here he is in a three-piece suit, carrying a pack of equipment and medicines.
Monty jogs over.]
Hello, I'm Monty. Here. I've got some medicine that should help with the pain, Miss...?
[He should really have something to call her.]
((ooc: Monty is a lover, not so much a fighter, so he'll stick back and just play doctor. 8')b ))

You said you weren't a doctor before your augment. Will you be all right?
[She believes he wouldn't offer unless he had skill, augment-given or not, but having the stomach for it is another matter.]
no subject
The young gentleman swallows and pastes on a smile, looking only a little peaky about the edges.]
I'll be fine, Ms. Makie. Thank you.
[He might just run off and be sick in private after this.]
Let me- here we are. [Monty takes out a shot device.] If you'll life your chin? [He'll press that to her neck when she does to deliver a dose of analgesic that should lessen the immediate pain. Putting that device away, pulls out another that should be able to do tissue repair.] The, um... [He clearly his throat, starting to fret.] The bullet. It went all the way through, yes?
no subject
All the way through. I don't believe it hit anything but flesh.
[Does that help?]
no subject
Monty bites his lip as the knowledge for how to deal with an embedded bullet filters so helpfully into his conscious thoughts thanks to his augment.]
Mm! All right. That's all right. That's perfectly all right. [It may sound like he's trying to convince himself more than her as he takes a deep breath.] It's all right. I'm-I beg your pardon, but I'm afraid I-I'm going to need to have you pull down your shirt to expose the-the wound. I'm very sorry for the indecency. I don't mean to-I'm certainly not... There just needs to be the space for the machine...
[He holds up the device, looking rather wide-eyed.]
no subject
It's all right, Dr Monty. I can assure you that the possibility of indecency is the last thing on my mind.
[Given her interesting occupations in life, she wouldn't much care even if it were.]

Monty bites his lip and forces himself to look. It's but the work of the moment to scan over the wound, calibrate his instrument, and then set it to regenerate the cells. The fact that he knows how to do all of this is still troubling. Monty doesn't care to have knowledge in his head that he didn't put there himself. It feels unnatural, like when Loki had forced the knowledge of how to pick locks into his mind.]
P-please let me know if there's any pain, miss.
[There shouldn't be, but it seems like the sort of thing he ought to say. The augment is rather useless on the nature of bedside manners. It will take a few minutes, but the active bleeding stops quickly, at least.].
Um... you're not planning on going in for the rescue, yourself, are you? It's probably best to rest and rehydrate after this is done.
no subject
I was intending to, yes. [While she's perfectly fine with not attacking the slavers again, she's not so great with leaving Max there. But she's had more offers of help than she expected.] I don't intend on providing more than support to the others, if that would reassure you.
