There are slavers aboard the waystation who are actively seeking cargo.  [The mildly courteous tone Makie is known for is absent, though she doesn't sound angry.  Inflectionless.  Possibly a little strained, if anyone knows her well enough.] 

This is the second time I know of they've attempted to take someone, and this time they've succeeded.  His name is... Max.  He's a crew member of the Starstruck.

We know where he is.  [Thanks to polite inquiries made of a survivor.  Very polite inquiries.]  We need assistance to retrieve him. 

...and a doctor, also.  Thank you.

[Ochako does falter for a moment, hands lifting to cover her mouth - because wow, that sure does look like more blood than she's generally used to - but she's quick to force back her fear in favour of stubbornly nodding her head. If she's going to be a pro hero one day, she has to be able to deal with this.]

Being able to help people off the ship could be very useful. [With that reaction, Makie doesn't really want to force a girl to go into a fight where there's, uh. Likely to be a lot more blood, given the way she fights. But she's not lying; there's probably more than Max on board that ship.]

You could help protect those who can't protect themselves. Can you make it to the waystation?
