There are slavers aboard the waystation who are actively seeking cargo. [The mildly courteous tone Makie is known for is absent, though she doesn't sound angry. Inflectionless. Possibly a little strained, if anyone knows her well enough.]

This is the second time I know of they've attempted to take someone, and this time they've succeeded. His name is... Max. He's a crew member of the Starstruck.

We know where he is. [Thanks to polite inquiries made of a survivor. Very polite inquiries.] We need assistance to retrieve him.

...and a doctor, also. Thank you.

[...totally asking for Tempest on that last one, okay.]

[Ggghhh, not being able to get involved in this sort of thing kills. Completely and utterly kills. He can't go after anyone but can he at least-]

I'm not a doctor, but I have some medicinal items that can heal wounds. I can bring them over to you to take, if you think you could use them.

Sorey. [She hasn't heard from him for a while, and literally slept through the entire dragon debacle. Makie's voice colours with warmth.]

I would appreciate it. I have no idea what we'll find there, but I imagine there will be more than a few people that need healing by the end.

They can't bring back the dead, but broken bones shouldn't be too much an issue provided they're set correctly.

I am. I will be here for the next small while as people arrive, I imagine.

[These herbs sound like they'd be a godsend for Tempest, actually. Not that she'll say as much right now.]

[Herbs, more like candy. Enjoy your mystical healing gummy vitamins.] Okay, I'll be right over.

[Sorey's getting pretty good at using the shuttles and makes it to the waystation with time to spare. He even left his sword back on the ship to remove the temptation to join in on the rescue.

Makie is close by, as she'd said, and once Sorey spots her he jogs over, a small leather pouch in hand.] Makie! How are you holding up?

[She assumes herbs!

Makie glances up from her place on the crates when he arrives, smiling faintly. A doctor's been through, and while there's blood staining the shoulder of her kimono the shoulder beneath has been treated as best it can be on station.]

I'm fine. [...well, okay.] More or less. I'll be better when the day is done. Thank you for coming, Sorey.

[She turns and he spots the blood and yoU ARE NOT FINE, YOU ARE STABBED.] M-Makie! Are you- Did you get that from a slaver?! Hold on- [Sorey hovers worriedly, digging into the pouch and drawing out a small red gel.] Here, these are what I'm talking about. Apple gels. You just bite through the casing, it should work in seconds.

[Hovering young men is really not a thing where she comes from, gosh. She blinks at him, disconcerted. Uh.]

I'm all right, Sorey. I just wasn't fast enough to avoid being shot. [Because that statement makes everything better. She reaches out to take the gel from him, holding him up with a confused look.] Bite through the casing. And then I apply it?

[Nope.]

Oh, no no! You eat it, it's a consumable. Tastes like apple. [The casing is fairly weak at least, like any other gummy-type candy.] They're pretty good actually, but they can be hard to make. Luckily Stefan and Mikleo can make them with the ingredients we have here now that they've figured out how, so please don't hesitate to use these all up.

[Oh okay. She gives it a faintly dubious look, but that doesn't stop her from following instructions, biting through the casing delicately.

...he's right. She's not used to medication tasting sweet.]

These will come in very useful. [Especially as there's a noticeable reduction to the burn of pain across her shoulder. Wow.] And there's nothing difficult or... immoral about making them?

Immoral? No, I don't think so. They don't make it out of human bones or anything, if that's what you mean.

I'm glad. You're truly lucky to have access to such healing gifts, then.

We really are. I'd definitely be dead without healing items. We even have something that can bring someone back from near death, though that one's a lot harder to make. [He's very worried about Makie and everyone going, but.] ...if something happens, and you need a healer, would you call me? I know some people.

I will. And the offer is much appreciated. [She tucks the small bag of gels away carefully.] Though I will hope this offering will be assistance enough, and not necessary even so.

It's fine. I wish- [Sorey stops himself, clenches a fist before resting a hand on her good shoulder, briefly.] I wish you the best of luck. I hope you get Max back safely.

[She's not sure what's going on with you, Sorey, but something sure is. She does her best to smile reassuringly, touches that hand lightly for a moment.]

[Yeah do not even worry about his shit for like 1 second, you have a BLOODY SHOULDER] No guarantees. Be careful.

[Sorey will stick around until she actually leaves with any of her entourage, just in case, and predictably worries long after she's disappeared from sight.]
