[Obviously—it can't be anything but obvious by now—Kaworu always wants to be near Shinji, always gravitates, orbiting like the steadfast moon. It must be clear now that even during times when Kaworu waited patiently for Shinji to approach him, he was the one who wanted to spring forward, arms out, barely holding back the bursting of his heart.

So any summons from Shinji is met with the immediacy and dedication already characteristic to ever earnest Nagisa Kaworu. He wills a text across their connection, I'll come, and takes no time for anything else. Getting closer and closer to Shinji's soul is one of the best feelings ever. He doesn't stop smiling as he strides down the hall, as he knocks on Shinji's door, because there is no reason to stop smiling. Of course, they have a task ahead of them. But its special meaning keeps him smiling, too.]

I'm sure you have a better idea of what to do, [he says once Shinji has let him inside.]

[Shinji fiddles with a few of the silver charms while he waits. It's always more than a little exciting--he can sense Kaworu getting closer and closer and closer. This extrasensory perception used to frighten him just because it was so alien, but now it's a part of his everyday life. He can't claim to understand how it works. Simply put, Kaworu is like a roving lantern when the rest of the world is dark.

So Kaworu only has to knock once before Shinji is opening the door for him.] Hey, Kaworu-kun, [he says, and there's a moment where he's smiling a lot and he can't figure out if he should step back or move in closer. He settles for taking one of Kaworu's hands, then leading him over to the bed. The door swings shut behind them, seemingly of its own accord.] The kit came with a page of instructions, but we have to pick out the charms, spacers, and clasp first. I wanted to go with this little skull over here, but I don't know...
