[ Hello, fleet! Today you get a message from someone who's been more than a little absent the past month. Some people may be more aware of it than others, but he's finally crawling out of the woodwork.

Waking up has been more than a little disorienting, because he didn't recall falling asleep, or when. It makes him uneasy, a solid weight sitting in his gut. The last time he couldn't remember things, it wasn't so great for the fleet. ]

People seem to fall asleep for long periods of time here. I just had a crewmate sleep for about a month here.

I don't blame you for assuming. You've slept enough as it is.

Not really. I know it has something to do with the augment. From what I've scanned, it's still active while a person's in deep sleep. It's why no one starves to death in their sleep, nor do their muscles atrophy. Which is convenient, I'll admit.

But why it happens? I'm not sure. It could be a glitch. But sometimes people seem to "go home" during these sleeps, so it could be intentional by Atroma too. Or maybe both. I don't know.

I wonder what benefit they think they get from forcing extended periods of sleep. It can't be entertaining to watch.
