[The Interfaith Center sounds far more bustling and busy than usual - and anyone peering inside would quickly figure out that a communal dinner is underway! Take off your shoes and walk in: the lounge has extra tablecloths on the floor as well as buffet tables with non-alcoholic beverages and all sorts of food, including Jordanian cuisine (or the outer space equivalent of Jordanian food).

The board games are out of their hiding nooks; the furniture's arranged for the maximum seating possible; and even the teddy bears donated by Kitty & Winn are out for cuddling, should anyone want them.

The kitchen's bustling with helpers - Stefan's running around at vamp-speed to make sure everything's a) done on time and b) cooked to perfection - but he sure wouldn't mind an extra hand. And if you're still not up for some food? Well, the prayer rooms are open as usual. There's always a quiet moment to be found, even if the laughter's louder and the scent of freshly-baked mansaf's wafting through the long corridors.

Anyone and everyone who's ever been inside the Interfaith Center has been invited (via text message - and Stefan even used the fancy emoji). If you're not particularly faithful or devout? Well, drop by anyways. There's more than enough food to spare.]

Please! [ he smiles ] I am happy to experiment, but it does help to know what one is actually tasting!

[He laughs a little] Of course, of course!

Let's see... [He points to the stuff as he talks] That's falafel, it's ground chickpeas that are fried- it tastes really good with hummus, which is that, or in a sandwich! And that's mansaf- which is lamb meat, yogurt and rice together. That's really good too! What else...

[Spoiler alert: He's going to say everything tastes really good]

[ Maglor smiles at his enthusiasm, following along ]

Are they all foods from your world ? So many different flavors !

Mm! These are from the country of Jordan! I think someone's making Japanese food too.

[He grins] Earth has a lot of places, so it has a lot of food too!

So many different things. [ Maglor smiles ]

Ah, you will have to show me those too, if you have time. Are there foods from your country as well?

British food? Ah- [Glancing around] - No, looks like not. That's probably for the best though. My country's known for a lot of great things, but...cooking's not really one of them.

[It'd make for a sad introduction to Earth food really]

But sure! I can show you the Japanese food.

Surely it cannot be that bad? [ Maglor blinks but nods ]

I would love to see.

Well...it's an acquired taste, really! Some people like it, I'm fine with it too.

[Just you know...not his favorite.]

Alright. [He gestures towards the japanese stuff and LETS HANDWAVE HIM TELLING SOME SINCE I"M NOT SURE WHICH ONES CASTER MADE]

All you are doing, you know, is making me curious!

[ Maglor laughs softly and samples the Japanese things, although he blinks at anything raw in confusion ]

Thank you - so many strange flavours! You are fortunate, indeed to have such diversity!

Well, maybe someday someone will bring British food and you can learn about it.

[Not him though. He's a bad cook]

Mm, we are! Earth's a large planet. It's all humans- but there's so many different cultures and people there. It's truly incredible.

[bythewaves]

I will ask for you, if they do. [ Maglor smiles back ] I am sure you must miss it too, after all!

It certainly sounds so! [ He agrees ] I hope to see it, one day. I suppose I will have the time, although I do not know if my world might one day be yours.

I do, I'll admit.

[Not many British cooks out here, after all]

Eh? Why would your world be mine one day?

[bythewaves]

It is only a theory.

[ Maglor shrugs shyly ]

But my world seems to be... one of the "oldest" - or "youngest", depending on when one is standing. So it stands to reason that one day, mine might be one of the others, that some of you, might perhaps be from my future.

I see...that's an interesting theory.

What is your world, exactly? I mean, what's it called and what is it like?

[bythewaves]

Ah... well the world itself we term "Arda", and the lands where I am most familiar with, Middle-earth. We are bordered by the Western Sea on one side, and the deserts and mountains on the other, as well as a small inland sea, and up north we stretch into the frozen wastes, and what lies beyond them I do not know.

Apart from that... I do not know how to describe it! It is a land like any other, with it's mountains and it's forests and it's peoples.

Wow...sounds like a very vast place, even if you haven't explored all of it yet!

[bythewaves]

It is.

[ Maglor's smile is true, eyes alight with the dream that slept beneath the Oath that binds him, the urge to explore. ]

And with Sauron overthrown, finally, it is safe enough to venture further. I had thought to venture inland, pass the deserts to Khand and Harad, and perhaps beyond them, now that my family are gone.
