[The Interfaith Center sounds far more bustling and busy than usual - and anyone peering inside would quickly figure out that a communal dinner is underway! Take off your shoes and walk in: the lounge has extra tablecloths on the floor as well as buffet tables with non-alcoholic beverages and all sorts of food, including Jordanian cuisine (or the outer space equivalent of Jordanian food).

The board games are out of their hiding nooks; the furniture's arranged for the maximum seating possible; and even the teddy bears donated by Kitty & Winn are out for cuddling, should anyone want them.

The kitchen's bustling with helpers - Stefan's running around at vamp-speed to make sure everything's a) done on time and b) cooked to perfection - but he sure wouldn't mind an extra hand. And if you're still not up for some food? Well, the prayer rooms are open as usual. There's always a quiet moment to be found, even if the laughter's louder and the scent of freshly-baked mansaf's wafting through the long corridors.

Anyone and everyone who's ever been inside the Interfaith Center has been invited (via text message - and Stefan even used the fancy emoji). If you're not particularly faithful or devout? Well, drop by anyways. There's more than enough food to spare.]

[He gives a nod] Yeah. I'd agree with that. I don't know Misty or Obi-Wan very well, but the others are good people.

No kidding? I'll have to bring Misty by later.

[Stefan lets out a small huff of pride. As much as he loves everyone here, Misty's one of his closest friends - as well as one who shares his faith (in it centering a person).]

I'm not gonna lie, I didn't think I'd even have that many. It's a lot harder to keep the faith when you're this far from home.

[Sometimes, bro, Allen's pop culture knowledge completely baffles him.]

What? Field of Dreams is on a lot of recommend movie lists, of course I watched it.

Though I...had no idea who any of the players were.

Oh, uh - they were mostly big actors in their own right. I wouldn't worry too much.

[Mostly because even Stefan can't remember off the top of his head.]

[He gives a nod at that. He had meant the baseball players, but eh, same diff]

Yeah! There was a library with lots of stuff from Earth, and since it was on the same floor as me, I tried to catch up with things from 20th and 21st century Earth since a lot of people were from there!

And I really like movies, so I focused on those a lot.

Sounds like you made good use of your time.

[He means it too. Stefan knows how much a movie can make a situation feel better - and he knows the transformative powers inherent in films, even if he doesn't watch too many.]

Honestly? As far as Fleet stuff goes, I think our collection's getting kinda stale.

Yeah well, had to do something to pass the time sometimes.

[He snorts at the second part of the remark]

Tell me about it. I think I've practically memorised The Princess Bride.

[In his best imitation of that clergyman, because he actually HAS memorized this bit:] "Mawwage. Mawaage is what bwings us together today..."

[He snickers and attempts to do the imitation too] "Mawwage, that bwessed awwangement, that dweam wifin a dweam."

[Stefan snorts, trying so, so hard to keep a laugh from escaping - but of course, he's snickering too.]

Do you remember when we were all on the Marsiva, and Caesar played it like every single day?

Ugh, yes.

It was that or Bran watching Sharknado all the time.

I still don't get the appeal of that one. You'd think that after a whole month I would, but no. Still a mystery.

I think it's supposed to be one of those "It's so bad, it's good" movies? Because you know, people are scared of sharks and tornadoes, but put them together and it's mostly....ridiculous?

Ohhhh yeah. I forgot those were a thing.

Kind of. [He sighs, hanging his head in mock shame.] It's not Oscar-worthy, but people remix songs to it all the time, and you can't go too far without someone referencing it.

I really don't get it.

You and me both, but knowing our luck? We'll be bombarded with it again.

Oh God, you're probably right.

[Groans]

Clay's terrible with any movie about space. He insists on watching them, but then he spends the whole time complaining about how inaccurate they are. And then he keeps complaining afterwards!

See, no one in Hollywood ever gets the outer space stuff right. I'd get it more if they knew and were being willfully dumb, but we've got a leg up on 99.9% of the population.

Also, believe me, I remember. We played Katamari together.

Ah...yes, the Katamari games. I remember now.

[The day Stefan's addiction had been born. Truly amazing day]

But even if they were being willfully dumb, who cares? I know there's no sound in space and wouldn't be explosions- but it looks cool!

I mean, The Exorcist gets just about everything wrong, and I still love that movie!

Man, you sound like my brother. He could sit through anything as long as he had a good time - and I mean anything, that man had absolutely no taste.

[As opposed to, Stefan guesses, his semi-okay taste in movies and literature.]

Half the fun's seeing how it'll look on screen, right? Why else would we go to the movies?

[He laughs] Yeah, that sounds like me alright. Even a really bad movie can be a good movie to watch.

[Trash movies are the best okay]

It's true! And the popcorn! And candy! And nachos! [Because of course that's what Allen cares about]
