Gathered some food from planets we're on. The options are pretty bad on-ship, so if you tell me your favourite foods, I'll try to make something close for you and ship it over.

If you got any left over, you can use the fridges. [Still, he'll sidle over. ] I love anything that's at least ninety percent meat.

[Oh, Sokka and your love of meat. Ludger smiles, because of course the second they went planetside, Ludger did his best to start stocking up on meats for Sokka.]

We have to ration it.

[But it does exist.]

[And it's for this reason why Ludger can stay FOREVER. ]

Well, yeah, I guess. We need to make sure we got enough to last us. Who knows when we'll get to a planet with plenty of food again. Buuuut while we're near the meat moon, I think we'd be okay to overindulge.

[Ludger does agree to the logic. NOW LET'S SEE...] Steak seasoned. A side of cubed chicken flavoured sweetly? Bacon crumble over all of it?

[Literally meat, meat, and more meat. Ludger wouldn't eat it, but Sokka sounds like he might.]

[Ludger, if he wasn't so anti touchy-feely, he would hug you right now. ]

You are the best cook who ever cooked.

Eheh . . . [Bashfully scratching the back of his neck. THANKS, SOKKA. He is genuinely flattered like the loser he is.

However, he does take a moment to prepare a few different kinds of sauces. Then he takes each of the four sauces and offers it up to Sokka to sample and decide between.] For the chicken.

[Also: the means by which Ludger hopes to get something OTHER than pure meat into Sokka.]

[Sokka will try all the offered sauces, with varying noises of happiness. Nothing is rejected, Sokka will eat anything. ]

Maa, you're really good at this.

[He ranks them from best to worst, and sets aside the bottom two for improvement. The top two can be used at varying points to make sure Sokka gets variety in his meals.]

Hey, when it comes to free food, I'll try anything at all, trust me! I'm your guy.

[Allen also seems to appear at the mention of food]

Then- if it's alright, do you think you could make some mitarashi dango? I haven't had any in so long!

[It's a good thing he's from Tales of Cultural Ambiguity because hey! They probably have mitarashi dango.]

[He starts sorting through their cabinets to see which of the appropriate ingredients he actually has for making it for Allen.]

[Wooo! It's okay, at least Ludger knowing it makes more sense than a 19th century english peasant. Talk about research fail]

[Oh accuracy. Ludger is flattered and blushes. Because what a dweeb.] Thanks.

[The most important part, of course, is to try to get the glaze right. So Ludger takes a while to start messing around with the materials they have, until he has something that tastes approximately right to him. He holds it out to Allen to try.]

[Doooork. He'll take what Ludger's holding out and take a taste, making a happy noise] Mm, it's good! It's very close too!

[At least, to Jerry's dangos. Because Jerry's cooking is the pinnacle he compares everyone to]

Where did you learn to cook?

[Great! Now he can get to work preparing the dango part of it. He'll do that as he talks.

Well, he'll do that and say minor amounts of words, as you silent protagonistly do.]

I taught myself. [Kinda awkward to bring this up given . . . their woods adventure, but.] Julius wasn't really any good at it.

[It's okay, he knows how that stuff with family]

Julius is your brother, right? [He remembers that much] That's pretty impressive, that you were able to teach yourself to be this good! I had help learning and my dishes rarely even look like they're supposed to.

[Though at least they're...edible...]

Ahah, I had a long time to practice . . . [And Julius was so helpless that SOMEONE had to do it in the house.] What do you make?

[He gives a shrug] Nothing fancy. Mostly just assorted vegetarian dishes- some Indian food- er, it's a place where I'm from.

It's edible, even pretty good sometimes, but it really doesn't compare to what you or Ino make.

Can you make flan?

I can. These ingredients might be harder. I'll try to make a good custard-replacement.

No, it's all right. I was just wondering. It's not something I find very often, but I remember it was delicious.

I will certainly keep an eye out for those. I can't promise much, I'm not much of a culinary person, but I will do what I can, gladly.

That's awfully generous of you.

Honestly, anything like a salad with fruit or something like that in it sounds amazing, if you think it's doable.

How kind of you! Can you make pastries? Or meringue pies?
