[Yuan shrugs and calls back, turning to face the other man properly:] That's probably fine in my case: I'm not really supposed to need to eat anyway.

[The fact that he sometimes does here is a matter of mild concern, but he'll deal with it later.]

[Bigby draws a long, slow drag on his cigarette and blows the smoke out again in a curling plume.]

[A slight shrug.] ...I'm getting hungry now and then since I got here. Still not eating much when I do, though.

But... you're not meant to get hungry?

[He's trying to work out what 'not suppose to eat' comes from.]

Right. [He realizes that this may not be everyone's normal, and adds to the explanation.] It's part and parcel of the 'immortality' thing - my metabolism is stopped, which means no aging, no getting hungry, and no sleeping. ...Well, that's how it's supposed to work.

[This is very clearly not a thing Bigby has heard of before.]

That sounds pretty fucking awful, actually.

It's... [He can distantly remember the four of them being dismayed when they discovered the side-effects of their decision.] ...you get used to it. After four thousand years of living this way, it's not exactly easy to go back, either.

I like eating. Sleeping. Drinking. Feels good. Full stomach. Heavy warmth of nearly asleep.

It's been so long I've forgotten to miss those things. I don't even remember what I like to eat.

[Maybe that's a little sad. He isn't going to dwell on it. They did what they needed to do at the time.]

[That tends to be Bigby's default answer. It's what he eats. It's what Sascha eats.]

Probably cooked meat?

...Yes. [Yuan's bemused expression suggests that it would not occur to him to specify cooking meat before eating it.] Any meat I ate, I would definitely want to cook it first.
