[Crowley's bar is the setting, and Tyrion is the broadcaster, as he is setting up a chess board on one of the tables, along with different stacks of cards on others, and yes, even some odd games he managed to find called 'Monopoly' and the like.]

Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. Considering how ... fraught things are lately, I welcome you to come to your local watering holes and enjoy a cool beverage, and perhaps a little gaming besides that. I myself have taken to, after excellent instruction from Kitty Pryde, to teach others how to play chess. I think it might be good for all of us to get outside of our own heads for a bit. You can even bring a game of your choice, if you do not see it here.

[He bowed once, before smirking.] And if you are all really good, I have figured out how to turn this communication device into a microphone, so if one wishes to do the ... karaoke, I believe I can figure something out. Given interest and a little time, of course.

[She knows Tyrion Lannister both from reputation, but also as the son of her father's liege lord. It was hard to mistake him for anyone else. She had heard that he was present aboard the ship, but had yet to meet him, conflicting feelings keep her away.

Still, his offer is kind and she is curious to meet the man, if only to confirm or dismiss her wariness.]

I should be grateful to learn how to play "chess", my lord.

[He peers at the unfamiliar face, but a student is a student. He gives her a little bow, frowning slightly. Why did she look familiar? There was something about her ... ]

Then I shall be pleased to teach you, my lady. Feel free to come by at any time.

[She didn't expect for him to recognize her. A single daughter in a large family didn't tend to generate a great deal of notice, especially to a liege lord. She felt a bit of relief at that, preferring to get a better sense of him first, before talking about her connections to his family.]

I'll be there momentarily.

[It took a bit to walk to the Iskarault, but after an hour, she arrived at the bar.]

Lord Tyrion?

[He is updating his books, at at her quiet comment, he looks up. A smile slips across his face, and he dips into a slight bow.]

My lady. Please, do come in. Might I offer you a refreshment, before we begin?

[He was at least charming, though that never seemed to be much of an indicator for what lay in a man's heart.

She shook her head.]

No thank you. [She might be a touch paranoid about drinks given to her.] Is chess a card game or something else?

[Charm was only good for what was on a man's surface. Tyrion had just learned that being more charming, or more of an ass, usually got him farther with his words than other men.

He nodded, and gestured her to a seat.] No, it is a game rather like cyvasse. Have you played cyvasse?

[Yes! More opportunity to practice the game and get better at it. Wrath is all about training, no matter what it's for.] Hi! Charles taught me how to play chess. I'm not very good at it, but I want to get better and play more.

[Tyrion smiled warmly at her enthusiasm, before he nodded his head firmly.] Well then I will be happy to teach you as I can.

Awesome! Um. I also know how to play poker, but I'm really bad at that because I suck at lying, but I can teach you how to play if you don't know.

[The reputation the Imp carried was far from favorable. Part of her hoped that this was another case of believing the wrong people, as it had been with her parents. Perhaps Tyrion was actually a better man than others stated.]

My brother, Raynald knew how to play the game. He was teaching our younger brother to play, but I have never had the chance before.

Who knew space was going to be so big on karaoke? [She heard that compliment up there, sir. Not that she is referencing it directly. Winn was a collaborator on a karaoke machine here, so it comes into her life a lot in the fleet.]

[Raynald ... mm. The name sounds familiar, although he was not quite sure why. His green eyes flashed with interest momentarily, before he tipped his head to the side.]

Well, then please come and take a seat. The rules are very similar.

I would like to learn how to play this poker ... and no worries, I am quite good at lying, so I should end up being a natural.

[He smirked faintly.]

Well space is a place where one gets to expand, yes? Like all these universes. [He smirked faintly.]

When you put it that way... [Smiling] But couldn't we expand with more dance floors?

For that, you would have to convince my boss. [He smirked faintly.] Crowley has never struck me much as a dancer, truth be told.

I don't think I know this Crowley and suddenly I have so much less interest in changing that. [Or did they speak once? She's been around long enough it's starting to get hard to keep track of the ever rotating population.]

[She realizes her slip a little too late. He said nothing, which let her hope that he might not have noticed.

She takes the offered seat with a grateful smile.]

I hope you will have mercy on me for this first lesson.

[Oh, dear lady, there is very little that Tyrion Lannister misses. Especially since she knew what cyvasse was. She was clearly from his homeland.]

Naturally. I am always merciful to students. [He smiles at her, before pointing to the board.] So, let us begin with the basics - you have black, and you have white. White moves first.

Now that is a shame ... I believe you would find him to be a most interesting individual. [He stated, a little glint to his gaze.]

Huh. I don't know if that reaction makes me more curious or more secure in staying away.

Perhaps a little bit of column A and B. Now, if you want me to ask him and use my considerable charm to have him think on the idea ... all you and Winn need to do is buy a few drinks.

[Winn, right. Would he even dance with her in Tyrion's bar?] Hmm, well, drinks I can do.

Is being good at lying something to be proud of? [Squint.] But I guess it means you'll be good at the game...

[If Winn had a problem with Tyrion's bar -- he should speak to Tyrion about it.] Then consider me working on Crowley.
