Broadcast: Yes
Action: Caprine
When: Now-ish

Can anyone here do tattoos?

[Kai’s not certain about letting someone other than Jason cause him that kind of pain, or giving them the trust to mark him like that. But he also doesn’t know when he’ll get home, and not having done it nags at the back of his mind. And the scope of what he wants will probably take a while?]

I can talk about the specifics of what I want, but it’s intended as a sort of memorial, so fair warning there. I’ve got previous ones if you want to look at them.

[Not showing them on a broadcast at large, though, because they’re not in precisely appropriate locations.]

For the rest of you, what sort of things have you done while you’ve been in space that you didn’t think you’d ever do or that you regret.

Trying to get a sense of what I’m in for.

Eugene. Nice to meet you.

[It's a door he really should close anyway. Numberless light-years away or no, he's a married man, and he really should not be cruising on the communicators. Even with very forward and extremely good-looking young men.]

The last planet we drifted by was basically uninhabited, so fingers crossed the next one has some cities. [He gives a crooked grin.] I'm getting the impression you're not exactly the rural type.

It varies. I've seen everything from wild west-style small towns to shiny sci-fi metropolises. Usually there's some sort of humanoid-alien species mix, and it's always a better place to stock up than the waystations in-between.

Let's see . . . [He tics points off on his fingers as he lists them.] better food, alcohol, clothing you aren't embarrassed to be seen in, whatever you use to numb the complete monotony of space travel . . .

Some books or music aren't a bad idea either. You can only drink yourself into oblivion so much.

Weeks, sometimes. [Eugene isn't a bit more enthusiastic about that fact.] I hope you like your shipmates.
