Who: opal, nightingale, and you
Broadcast: video!
Action: on the pathstone
When: now!
[When the feed turns on, it’s focused on... so many Christmas sweaters laying on a bed. There are more, hidden beneath those four and out of view of the camera; from what can be seen, it looks like there are at least three or four more. The camera swings around to two girls, one of whom has the most deadpan look on her face.]
I officially hate sponsor drops. I want none of this.
[The other one just looks kind of confused.]
I’m pretty sure this is another Earth reference or something that I’m missing here. What the fuck is wrong with Earth?
[It earns a snort out of Opal.]
There are many things wrong with Earth, and all of them are a long story. Don’t worry about it. Anyways, the point is that someone should come here and take these away because every single one is kind of the worst thing ever? Save us.
Either that or we can throw them out into space. That’s an option too. There’s a sun nearby to hurl these into, right?
[She sounds dead serious about this.]
...Maybe we should at least see if anyone wants them before we toss them into a sun? [But, she smiles.] I am totally saving shoving them out of an airlock as a plan B, though. Thank you for that.
[She glances back at the camera for a moment, though, giving the feed a Look.]
Seriously, though, get these far enough away that I never have to see them again.
[ooc: blue is opal, purple is nightingale!]

[He did NOT die for this]
I'm Christian, but I'm still not taking them.

If you can't find anyone else, put them in a box and mark them for "Alex Russo".
If she ever returns, she'll want them.

[because clearly he's going to know what that is]

Either way - I didn't realize she had left. Sorry, that always sucks.

...Ah, yeah. [A bit awkwardly] I'm sure she's happier back home.

But...why would you...sign up for this?

A Christian is a follower of Christianity, a religion. Jesus Christ is our Messiah, and Christmas is when the church says he was born- so we celebrate that. And people say "Jesus" a lot just for emphasis, like saying "oh God".
Is that enough to keep those sweaters from me?

So he's a demigod, but people like him, but still use his name as a curse?
no subject
But yes, exactly. We're not actually supposed to, but that just makes it's all the more appealing for people to do.
no subject
... Why aren't you supposed to?
no subject
[What with them killing Jesus and then feeding Christians to lions and all.]
Oh, well in Christianity there's these ten main rules you're supposed to follow? The Ten Commandments. I mean there's other rules, but they're the big ones.
Anyway, #3 says you're not supposed to take the God's name in vain. And Jesus is considered one of the names of God.

I think it's because you're trying to find the logic in faith. That's not really how it works.

Think of it this way: on Earth, most of us can't really communicate with the being that made us. Not directly. We just can't, so whenever something happens, we're never sure if it was by that being's will or by chance- especially when it's something unlikely that happens.
But sometimes, there comes along a human whose able to communicate with that being. The people that believe this person can really communicate with the higher power follow their teachings and that group might become a new religion. The ones who don't believe them either joins another religion they do believe or stays out of religion altogether. And since many of these religions are thousands of years old, they tend to evolve past the initial teachings and develop their own culture.
Does that clear it up a little?
