Hi. So, this is not what I was expecting today. [He was expecting some additional rest and recovery after the last few days. Instead, he feels mysteriously good as new.] I'd just heard some great things about Netflix, and I was looking forward to chilling with it. [Someone may have missed giving him the full explanation and context of that phrase. Ooooor maybe they didn't.]

I am getting tired of being the one who always gets abducted. Winn and Alex could take turns too. Just saying.

[A soft sigh. He's staying in pretty good spirits despite everything, but he's wondering if this is doing him any good.] Is anyone even listening to this?

[And just in case someone is.] My name is Mon-El.

I meant Mike. [Almost definitely no one noticed that. It was very smooth. He'll just turn this off now.]

[Natasha is 0% surprised that Kara named him, or that he knows her too.]

For what it's worth, once you get off the Marsiva... there are bars here. You sound like you could use a drink.

Is it the hair? I was afraid it just wasn't Mike enough. [Just playing here.] Kate mentioned a bar. Plural is even better. I could use many drinks. Especially if they are all as weak as regular Earth alcohol.

I might have to ask what kind of Earth alcohol you've been drinking.

[On the other hand, Natasha has experience with aliens and enhanced people who don't feel the effects of alcohol. Still, she makes a little show of raising an eyebrow, defending her home planet's reputation for the sake of distraction.]

[At one point Natasha might have expected Kara to give a warm welcome, regardless of whether or not she actually recognized someone... but Mon-El's attitude and a little more experience keep Natasha from assuming.]

You might want to start working on making friends to pick up the tab, then. There are plenty of drinks, but they're not free. And you do not sound like a cheap date.

There were various kinds of ale on tap and then something called shots. [Otherwise, he mostly drinks at the bar that caters to aliens and has things like Aldebaran Rum which has plenty of effect on him.]

I just wasn't expecting this. [He wasn't expecting a lot of things lately, but they had just started looking up. If you ignore all the near death fun.]

I guess that means people need jobs here too?

To be fair, not many people expect this.

[Somehow, Natasha's been here long enough and seen enough of the Fleet that she's answering questions.

Winn said there was a recording I'm supposed to listen to. I guess I'm doing things out of order.

Winn has some ideas about how people should behave in captivity. Don't pay too much attention to him.

[She pauses, considering what to explain. In the end, she goes for the basics.]

They say we're here because somewhere out there, there's an audience who thinks we're prime time entertainment. They watch, and if they like what they see, we get paid.

Oh. Well, that's an easy job. Disturbing, but easy.

Did Winn try to lecture you? [Curious about that comment.]

He may have come off a little lecturing the first time we talked. He worries what the Atroma might get ideas from our conversations.

I guess you'd say he seems to think that what happens over the network is more vulnerable than what we say in person. I don't know. Considering the fact we might be recorded at any moment for an audience, how I figure it we can't trust anything's private.

You know, I can't get enough of thinking about how everything I do and say is being watched and listened to. That's a great feeling.

That is something to get used to.
