So! I don't know how many people here are actually familiar with the climate outside besides me and Sokka and I wanted to give some pointers for anyone who isn't used to it.

[Adopting an authoritative look, Korra raises a finger.]

First - get a snow suit if you plan to go outside and you haven't got one already. That's just a no brainer. Second - if you have trouble walking around it'd be a good idea to get some snow shoes or if you find yourself walking across ice you'll want a pair of these:

[Korra holds up a pair of ice cleats for demonstration.]

They're handy for walking around on ice so you don't slip and slide everywhere if you're not a waterbender like me, of course. I also know a bunch of cool survival stuff if you get stuck out in a blizzard or something, but I don't think that's likely to happen so I won't bore everyone with that. Basically just learning how to be safe is important. If you want to talk hunting or ice fishing I can also help with that, but I think we're well stocked on food here.

[Said while popping a little fish into her mouth and smiling for the camera.]

Is hunting in snow much different from hunting normally? I'm afraid I have little experience with the amount of ice down on the planet.

Aside from potentially freezing to death it's only different because of what tools you use. That's why I suggest anyone going down there should bundle up, you know? It's not such a big deal in the hotel but outside of it can be a problem for anyone not used to the climate.

Potentially freezing to death is certainly different from how hunting was for me at home. I only went in the spring and fall if required of me. Usually, our food was bought.

Do you come from the far north to be so accustomed to cold?

Actually- the South. Where I'm from we're called the Southern Water Tribe. There is a Northern Tribe - our sister tribe - and it's just as cold up there. We just live really far away from each other. My cousins are the leaders of the Northern Tribe and my dad is the leader of the Southern Tribe.

[Beaming with a bit of pride here, just a bit.]

Is it warm where you're from?

[Huh, so it's even cold in the South? That's pretty unusual. He wonders how far south they are to also be used to frigid temperatures.]

I wouldn't say it's always warm, but it can be. The seasons are varied where I am from - cold in the winter, and very hot and humid in the summers. But unless you travel to the barbarian lands far to the north, there is never this much snow.

But you are royalty then? How should I address you?
