Who: steve rogers circa civil war + you, yes you
Broadcast: nope
Action: various;
When: throughout january

[ new year, new memories and what begins as one monstrous headache.

it takes a couple of hours to sort through everything that's new, to make sense of a kaleidoscope of memories, images and sounds. at first, he starts writing it all down, lagos, the sokovia accords, the UN, black panther.

Only the dry details and nothing of what starts to weight down on his shoulders, faces and names that inspire a heavy, intimate, terrible sort of pain.

And so an avoidance of a sort begins that lasts through the two days the new year. Hours upon hours spend on the library aboard the Iskaulit, reading books and making nothing of them. It's an odd sight, Steve Rogers in one of the corners of the room, staring at a book and randomly picking up a notepad and writing something down ( another detail that comes up, scott lang or spiderman ) and then staring at the notepad only to go back and stare at the book.

He might also be found at odd hours at the gym; evidently, taking out his burdens on a punching bag, seemingly lost in thought even as takes out what seems to be a world of trouble on the thing.

It will take these two days of isolation before those of the fleet start seeing steve rogers off the Iskaulit. He'll make a return to the Starkstruck, though this return, too, will be a reclusive matter one will have to actively seek him to find him in the weaponry or otherwise, in his room. ]

Gym.

[Takeshi has always taken to the gym himself, because even though he's exceptionally short and small for his age, and even though he's... his age, he finds that exercise and training is absolutely important still. There's not enough danger and violence on the ship to be prepared at all times. You gotta practice, practice, practice!

It's the mark of an at least decent captain to be ready.

He's gotta be ready!

So he's at the gym, yes, same as Steve. He actually gives pause where he is in the corridor to watch Steve working out. Poor guy seems really troubled by something; Takeshi knows the look real well. The Adult Troubled Look. Not to mention Steve hits things to get some stress out. His adoptive dad was real good at punching the air in training to unleash some anxious energy. Takeshi can't really explain any of that, of course, so he steps up to Steve, determined.]

Excuse me! Mr. Steve!

Can we spar? I gotta keep myself real sharp, sir. Real sharp!

[Stop being all thoughtful and worried in your own thoughts, thanks.]

[Takeshi seriously doubts that! He knows just how strong Mr. Winter and Steve are from careful and quiet observation; that's how he learned how to fight back home, too. Watching his adoptive father practice his fighting moves, it drove Takeshi forward and taught him how to hold his ground.
But if Steve would rather talk, Takeshi's not about to push that away neither.]

I'm okay! I've been working real hard on keeping myself real strong. Real muscular!

[He flexes one arm, and it's surprisingly well-shaped, muscular beneath the strange black suit that covers him from the top of his neck to his toes. His beloved power suit, which has kept him alive through so many missions.]

I do lotsa' push-ups.

You should! I know your muscles are scary tough already, but you gotta keep 'em tough!

[ANOTHER FLEX OF DETERMINATION.

But he's also curious about everything ever.]

What's a... drill sergeant? They sound kinda scary.

Wow! Which captain is she?

[He seems particularly interested in knowing about your drill sergeant, mister.]

I bet I might know her! Maybe she can tell me real good tips about being a captain!

[Yeah, he's a captain. The Fleet is weird.]

She can be my captain drill sergeant.

That's okay! I'm a real hard worker. I promise she'll be -- impressed!!

[He strikes a surprisingly well-figured fighting pose, clenching a fist.]

I've fought lots before! I learnt from my dad. He's a hero who adopted me, y'know. A superhero!
