Who: "Soujirou" aka Okita Souji and you!
Broadcast: Network-wide
Action: SS Golden, later the SS Iskaulit Gym
When: (Broadcast) January 3rd, morning (Action) January 3rd and onward, afternoons
Broadcast
Since it seems that I'm far enough in the past for most people to consider me quite long gone, I suppose there's no harm in announcing who I am. It's a little strange, seeing how I kept this to myself for so long before.
But-- [deep breath] --I'm a teacher of the Tennen Rishin style of swordsmanship. [What, did you think he'd announce himself for real? Haha, silly you. Still, people who know of him, might get a clue from that.] I'd like to find someone willing to spar with me, if they're up to it. I heard there is a space for it on the-- [ugh, foreign names are hard.] Iskaulit? The other big ship. I'll be there every afternoon to practice.
Also, I've been searching for proper boken or shinai as well, so if anyone can help me find some, I would be very grateful.
Action
[Every afternoon, Souji will be at the Iskaulit gym in an open area. Before he has practice swords, he'll be using makeshift staves and whatever else he can get his hands on to simulate a sword. Come learn from a legendary swordsman! Or just go "why is that babysitter guy suddenly looking like he can murder 50 people???"]

Soujirou.
To take your precious private hours on a silly man's drills is a great honour. I hope I don't bore you.
[Buuuuut now it's time to check out ALL THOSE SHINY BLADES. He leans a little to his right and checks them out.]
You're certainly well armed. Where did you procure all of them?
no subject
[A FELLOW ENTHUSIAST.]
I had to pick them up over a bunch of different systems. There are a lot of places where we stop that the metal quality is total shit. And a while ago we went to this place that had laser swords! Which aren't as awesome as plasma, but not bad. I didn't bring that one with me, but I can show it to you some other time if you want.
You should talk to Winter sometime too. He's a guy who knows a good knife.
no subject
Outwardly, he just smiles and nods.]
I'd like to see all of your weapons. I've never heard of "plasma" or "laser" swords. I only know Japanese steel.
[At least it isn't hard to fake enthusiasm for this subject because he's actually pretty interested in it.]
But who is "Winter?" I haven't heard of him yet.
no subject
Um. Well, laser is like when you take light and focus it so much you can burn and cut shit with it. And plasma is like... you know how when you heat up water, it turns into steam? If you took the steam and compressed it and made it even hotter, like the surface of the sun hot, it turns into another thing called plasma.
Winter's the captain of the Heron. He's my best friend. He's really nice! But quiet.
no subject
Fascinating...I didn't think people could forge weapons with such things. They seem so intangible. Your future must be quite advanced.
Are you and Winter-san from the same place then? Did you come together?
no subject
Oh no! Winter's from Earth too. Like long ago relative to me. I think... um. Sometime around the second world war? Maybe? Or a little after that. He's just been my best friend here.
no subject
---Wait.
Did you say "world war?" The entire world goes to war?
no subject
Oh yeah. It happened like... four times on Earth.
no subject
[There's shock in his voice certainly, but mostly it's sadness. He knew that war was forever inevitable, but that people were still fighting and now on a global scale almost breaks his heart. He'd hoped Tetsu's future would be peaceful after their civil war ended.
Apparently even a thousand years in the future, people would still be finding ways to kill each other.
After a moment he recovers and brushes a stay piece of hair from his face.]
But you are certainly the furthest ahead that I've heard so far. If I counted correctly, you're over a thousand years in my future. This fleet must feel very primitive to you.
