We're here for entertainment right? Could Atroma have staged that attack? It doesn't seem like they gave a damn during the attack and, I mean, the Marsiva wasn't touched, was it? What would be more entertaining for people than seeing us all in real danger?

If they're willing to just kidnap us, they wouldn't be above this!

Can we even get better weapons on the ships? And, honestly, I'd prioritize defense and strategy. With good strategy, what weapons we have should be enough.

Dunno. But some ships don't have any if they don't have a security officer. Makes me consider switching to be one. Should've been anyway...

In this case? I don't think just defense and strategy will cut it. Not until all ships are even basically armed. Right now it's like having civs in the war zone.

Can't be too hard to transfer ships right? I mean, if you'd be more use on another ship.

Maybe not but it can't hurt either. And even in a war, civilians aren't always safe.

More like switch augments. My ship doesn't have a security officer, and I'm stuck as pilot for some stupid reason.

True. [ A pause. ] I'm still new here. Do ships in our fleet communicate well enough? Could we coordinate defense of our unarmed ships?

I've only been here a couple months but our communicators make it easy to contact the rest of the fleet, communications officers I'm sure can help with coordination. It seems doable.

Novitiate... like, training? Don't have something like that in my world - not really. I'm from... what's left of Earth. Guardians protect the last remaining city on Earth from the invading Darkness.

... Still. Nice to meet a fellow Guardian. [ Even if it's not quite the same thing! ]

Training, yeah. Exactly. Although, I renounced my vows. [Nervous smile.] I never imagined a world where there could be more than one Guardian. Our Guardian just protects our world from anything that threatens it.

[The 'what's left of Earth' is a little disheartening.] I'm sorry about your world. Is there anything that can be done?

[ Oh dang. She frowns, actually looking a little concerned. ]

Just one Guardian to protect the whole world? Hell of a lot of responsibility for one person... [ ... And then that concern turns to sass. ] Everyone else too busy to help? Just want to let someone else handle the problems? Hm. Don't blame you for renouncing your vows.

[ At the mention of her own world, she shakes her head. ] My world... we're trying. Pushing back the Darkness where we can. We finally seem to be making progress recently, but we've got a really long way to go.

"No mage shall be your peer; none, your master. Your responsibility will be absolute." Every novitiate hears it. At least I think so, it sounded practiced when I heard it. The most powerful was expected to take on the responsibility, I thought it should be the responsibility of all Azeroth.

[He could probably handle it, especially since he apparently becomes and Archmage.]

At least you've made progress. If I ever get the chance to see Earth, at least I know your Guardians are protecting your world and winning.

I think I agree with you. Not sure how big Azeroth is, but since I'm guessing it's not just one city block? Bet it could stand to have more defense than one person.

[ But she does manage a bit of a smile at the mention of protecting Earth. She's proud she can do her part, after all. ]
