We're here for entertainment right? Could Atroma have staged that attack? It doesn't seem like they gave a damn during the attack and, I mean, the Marsiva wasn't touched, was it? What would be more entertaining for people than seeing us all in real danger?

If they're willing to just kidnap us, they wouldn't be above this!

[ Being a new arrival herself, Lancer doesn't really have answers for the man or anyone really. What does get her attention is the talk of kidnapping (rude really, she's a grown woman in her eyes, not a kid) and being thrown into danger just for entertainment. Really, who does this pig think he is?

So here's an indignant little girl who looks like she's straight out of the Nether herself with her curved horns atop her head and her long black tail, though the latter may be harder to see over the network. ]

No fair, did I miss something fun before I showed up? It's as if I'm a part of the second round of contestants. [ They... probably passed "the second round" months ago, Lancer. ]

[It's impossible for him not to gawk. Just a little. He's never seen anyone like her, the only exception being when Medivh's human form burned away in the fel font to reveal the demon beneath.]

I wouldn't call it 'fun' exactly. We were just attacked by a group of raiders, and boarded. Several ships were damaged in the fight and I believe they were planning to enslave whoever they could grab.

[Not that Atroma would have let them make off with their entertainment.]

[ He can look all he wants: she enjoys the attention. If he looks too hard, she might just demand he marry her instead, so tread carefully. ]

Enslave? I'm no man's servant. [ Or woman's, to be precise. ]

Which is a problem... umm.

[ Why is that a problem? She'll never say, at least not without being asked. Fortunately for him, she's shifting right back to the former subject instead of fixating on her own problems. ]

Who do these raiders think they are? I'll show them if they board my ship. [ A ship she just got recently assigned to, but it's her ship nonetheless. ]

[Would she like a flustered mage? Because that's what she'll get.]

That was the idea, I believe, but I don't think you have to worry. Between all our crews and the other fleet, we were able to hold them off. They'll feel this loss for awhile.

[Not that he'd let anyone be enslaved if he could help it. Almost incorruptible, this one.]

I hope you won't have to. Not for awhile.

[ Incidentally, she would like a flustered mage. Not as a husband, but for something else. ]

I see. [ She makes a small harumph that's just barely picked up by the microphone. ] That's disappointing. I was hoping for an opportunity to show off without it going to waste.

[ Her tail flicks behind her in her mild annoyance. ] Atroma. I've heard that name before. Is that the name of the production company?

[He's not sure he wants to know.]

You can probably find someone to practice with among the fleet? And I somehow doubt that this will be the last time we run into them. We wounded their ego, they probably won't let that go.

[Khadgar just nods.] They're the ones that brought us here.

[ She's something of a familiar and an earlier conversation reminded her of that. ]

I don't need to practice. [ Showing off is a completely different thing. Clearly. ]

Forget about my awesome abilities for a moment and focus on our conversation. [ Even though she's the one who brought it up, she's chiding him for it. ] Do you think they really would do that? Put us in danger for the ratings?

Maybe not but some people might appreciate some practice. And that means you can show off. [Clearly.]

Alright. I do, actually. [He dislikes being chided but he's seventeen dammit, he can let it slide. Right?] Anyone who would just steal people from different worlds, from their lives and loved ones, you can't really trust that's as far as they'd go.

Really... [ She pauses and taps her chin with a pink finger. It takes her a moment to sort through his words, but at least she's MAKING AN ATTEMPT to have a conversation. ]

It isn't common for people to be stolen from their worlds and their lives? It's all I've ever known.

[ Which explains why she's such an attention-seeking brat at times, but she's too caught up in her ego to pick up on that. ]

The people who steal me away though have been unusually kind.

It definitely not common where I come from. I'm sorry you had to live like that though, no one should have to.

[Good thing Khadgar has a lot of patience.]

We haven't even met the people who brought us here. No one has as far as I know.

[ It's better that she lives like this. Having seen her future self in the form of a vampiric murderess, Lancer swore she wouldn't deny what she becomes. She'll work to atone for it in any way she can, but... well, she's an awfully selfish thing at times too. Maybe she deserves it, just a little bit. ]

Maybe they're shy?

It's alright though. I promise that they will fall in love with my charming antics and reveal themselves to receive a personalized autograph. Whenever they do, I'll tie them up and bring them to you ♪
