[Crowley enjoys watching the goings on of the Fleet. It's why he;s never changed his augment, honestly. It means he can stalk everyone and keep abreast of the general Fleet gossip. As such, he's in his usual place, lounging in his comms chair, but what's currently going on is...rather different than the usual fare.

After a while, he flips on the ship's intercom, because sharing is caring.]

Hey, guys? I think the rest of the Fleet is going batshit. Thought you should know. If you're coming to check it out, bring popcorn. Also wine.

[She says, coming into the main area to find him.]

Also, I checked, we don't have any. Tragic. We can metaphorically shove popcorn into our mouths, though.

[He flips a few switches so she can listen in on the bizarre happenings in the other ships.]

I don't know, they're all acting weird.

[He flashes her a grin.]

[Crowley leans forward, unseen through his shades, he's squinting at the screen. ]

I dunno. Normally this sort of thing is Atomra playing silly buggers with our augments. But that usually affects every ship, and we're all fine. It's weird.

Maybe they've finally acknowledged that we're just not worth the effort.

I can absolutely live with that. No one bothers the red-headed stepchild. They can do whatever the hell they want, because everyone's judging them already anyway.

[ Jayden's not that great at thinking things through. Usually, she just does things. But debating between staying a pilot and switching to security? That seems like something she should take more seriously - especially given the bullshit they just went through. Security means weapons, right? But staying a pilot, she could always just try to pull double duty, can't she? Hmm...

So you might find her sitting on the treadmill in the cargo area, having just finished a workout to clear her head (it didn't work), drumming her fingers against the base while she stares up at the ceiling - at nothing in particular.

[Crowley doesn't often wander around the ship. He's usually pretty uniform in where he likes to spend his time. But the Fleet is drifting and he's bored. So, he eventually finds himself in the cargo area, and in it, Jayden staring a little too hard at the ceiling. ]

...Did it kill your grandmother or something? The ceiling? You're giving it quite the hairy eyeball.

Just thinking. I know Opal said we don't really take ranks or whatever seriously, but if we get attacked again anytime soon...

[It is a concern. Not for him. He'll survive anything Atroma throw at them, it's a perk of immortality. Everyone else, however, would be in real trouble. And as much as he'd say otherwise, he rather likes his crew. He'd rather they not die horribly. ]

We're pretty bollocksed when it comes to a well rounded crew, yeah.

[ Jayden has no idea if she can die right now - she doesn't have her Ghost with her, but that doesn't necessarily mean the revival mechanic is gone, does it? - but it's not something she wants to risk. Obviously. ]

Yeah. So. Still trying to decide if a pilot or a security officer would be better. Don't like the idea of us being a sitting duck, but... well, not having weapons that we haven't swiped off of corpses of boarders also blows.

Well, in theory being able to fly away from a threat sounds a better idea than not being able to move and getting the shit kicked out of us when they show up.

...Besides, I could just turn any invaders into decorate garden gnomes, if it came to that, I suppose.
