Video
Who: Sokka and you!
Broadcast: Fleetwide
Action: SS Blue Fish
When: Sunday 5th
[Sokka keeps tabs on his crew a lot, but there's a few scant people outside of the Blue Fish he absolutely tried to check up on as and when he can. After the...weird hyperactivity effects he'd experienced wore off, he made to check up on exactly one of those people. And his search came up empty.
So, he turns on the video, stepping out of one of the shuttles and heading through the hallways of the Blue Fish, heading to the bridge]
I'm not sure who she knew all that much, so I'm making this public in case anyone's missed it and gets worried about her.
[He flops down into his captain's chair with a heavy sigh. This sucks.]
Korra's gone. Home, hopefully. Which is probably a better thing for her. Important Avatar business and all that.
[And then there was one. Again.]

[His shoulders slump a little]
I'm sorry, Sokka.
no subject
[At her right time, along with people who aren't from the past. ]
I know she was missing home.
no subject
But I bet she was happy to meet you. Or at least...young you? [Possibly. He never really asked about the future from Korra. Some things are better off not knowing]
no subject
[How he's assumed it's STAYED. Detached, away from everyone, their own little community. ]
It was weird. Kind of like hanging out with an old friend but not at the same time. I'm guessing it was an Avatar thing.
no subject
I think it is. She was...really different from Aang. But every once and awhile, she'd do something or give a look that was...just like him.
no subject
Yeah. [He saw it, he really did, and it made his heart hurt a little. Because for Korra to exist, that meant Aang had to be dead. One day, he would have to face that as a future. As much as he wants to see Korra again, he hopes it's not too soon.] It was uncanny.
[And, because he's noticed, dude. ]
How're you holding up without Kanda?
no subject
[And oh that question. There's a pause before he lets out a long suffering exhale]
I don't know....
Hopefully the stupid arsehole is stuck on the Marsiva where he can't go make more stupid choices. [I DON'T TRUST HIM GOING HOME ALONE.]
no subject
Yeesh. I'm guessing he's not super popular back home, then?
[WHAT DID HE DO, ALLEN? ]
1/2
[He leans back, preparing for the incoming rant]
It's just ... Exorcists work for the Black Order, right? They give the missions and resources to fight. It's a huge organisation with many different branches, all across the world. So some parts of the Order are fine and just want to do good work, but others... [He pauses] They want to win the war and they'll try...anything to accomplish that goal.
I joined the Order by my own choice. Kanda... he didn't. He was born into it, you could say, through terrible circumstances. He never wanted to be an Exorcist, but they controlled every part of his life.
Then some things happened, and we found someone from Kanda's past. Someone he loved who went through the same things Kanda did. Everyone had thought he died years ago, but ... it turns out they were keeping him somewhere, using him for experiments.
So I helped them escape. I helped them get to a place where the Order could never find them. Even if Alma was already dying ... at least he'd have some time to be free. That's how I felt.

And what does Kanda do with his new freedom?
He walks right back into the Order and becomes an Exorcist again, all because he thinks that's the best way to pay me back for getting him freed!
What kind of stupid move is that?!

It cost me my bloody job! I wasn't even at the Order when he stupidly went back!

no subject
Oh no, we're always like that.
[SORRY THATS JUST HOW THEY ARE]
I just thought, when he was in the fleet, I was here, so I wouldn't have to worry about him doing anything reckless for me without me knowing.
But now that he's somewhere else, God knows what he could be doing!
no subject
[Allen, bro, that's kinda messed up.]
Well, I mean, hopefully time has stopped so it's not like you have to worry about him doing stuff while you can get to him, right?
no subject
Uh...yeah. Sure. Hopefully... [The whole idea of going home was a giant oil drum worth of worms, one that he tried not to thin about. But yeah, going to try to refrain from talking about that stuff with Sokka right now. He's heard enough of Allen's problems today. so he gives a shrug]
Either way, I suppose there's not much I can do right now anyway.
no subject
I guess not, still. Sorry he's gone, even with all the...uh problems.
no subject
Thank you. And I'm sorry Korra's gone.
no subject
Yeah. But hey, it's probably better.
