[He stands up, dusting his pants off with one hand. His left is carefully bandaged and tucked away under many layers of cloth. While a narrow figure, Komaeda is much taller than would be expected from his initial stance.]

Sorry. It's nice to meet you. I'm Nagito Komaeda, your useless pilot for this ship. [Bowing politely, Komaeda sneaks a look up at Cullen from under his bangs.]

A pleasure. [A strange name, and he's not used to bows when meeting someone that should now be his equal, but he gives a short one in return.]

Um, the same. [Sensing his discomfort, Komaeda straightens relatively quickly, smiling. His eyebrows curl up in a taught little knot despite his smile.]

Ah, well, that's, ... I'm really not quite as well-equipped as anybody else onboard here for the day-to-days of certain things, I think. I mean, who's to say any of us are, really? [He doesn't quite squirm under the question, but he does shy away from it.] I have nothing but the highest esteem for my fellow crew members. They're truly shining beacons of hope, you know?
