[ It has been a while, a long while, since Margaery Tyrell showed her face on the network. Today, however, it seems as if she is in the mood for it; or perhaps, as if she has been planning this little message for a few days now. ]

I do not know if it merits a little celebration or not. Likely, the ones who brought me here will have their own thoughts of the matter.

[ but she smiles, willing to brush aside these thoughts in favor of others. ]

While it may not have been my choice to come here a year ago, it might yet be my choice how to address the entire matter.

[ it's been a year. had she thought she would leave before now, yes? had she hoped to win the game already? of course. had she learned some humility? indeed. ]

The planet is quite lovely is it not? and I have heard of a nearby river. I wonder if a little outing is appropriate of a celebration. It has been a year and I have not seen clear water in months and months.

[ look at her, speaking of months instead of moon cycles. One might think she's turning modern. ]

A picnic by the river - to celebrate my stay here and the friendship that we have all formed. Surely, after the last few weeks we all need a little comfort and joy. I shall be leaving this afternoon, if anyone else cares to join me.

[ it's a sincere compliment even if it is accompanied by a little grin that hints of mischief. sitting by the river is a sweet notion but the idea of splashing water and giggles is even sweeter. ]

If there are cakes of any sort on your ship, bring them. Our new cook is quite brilliant in the kitchen - a man keeping house, can you believe it?

This world offers a great many surprises. Women warriors, male cooks.

I fear I may not match your cook, but I hope that what I bring shall please you.

And he mends gowns too. I do trust he is better at keeping home than all of the maids of King's Landing combined.

[ and a kind man, a gentleman. the fleet needs more of those. ]

He makes such excellent snacks - waffles, have you heard of those?

Mending gowns? A man mending gowns?

[It's far beyond anything she had seen yet. Women warriors, that could be a bit more expected, as she had met the Mormont women. But a man mending gowns?]

I haven't, but I am only still learning different dishes. What are they?

And quite efficiently, too. My friend Winn is much the same. He's a man who makes gowns, as capable as any seamstress. Their worlds are quite different than out own; men and women are mostly free to do as they will.

[ fascinating and captivating, is it not? ]

they are - dry cakes of a sort and you pile fruit and cream upon them.

Could you imagine living in such a world? The things I have learned here would shock my parents so greatly, but it is greatly enjoyable to learn to hunt or protect myself.

What of you, my lady? Did you learn something that is as free as a man sewing?

I may have to learn them. I only recently have begun making bread.

[ so many people are "celebrating" their anniversaries lately. his own is coming up in just a few short weeks, too. it's worrying - the year's gone by so fast and it feels like he hasn't gotten any closer to figuring out anything. and a lot of people seem not to last through their anniversary.

but the year's also had a lot of amazing experiences. getting to meet margaery is certainly on the top of that list, so she gets a warm smile. ]

Do you think we could use a blanket? Mayhaps one we could sit on? The grass can so terribly stain and I am wearing my best gown.

[ for the occasion is surely worth it or at least, Margaery seems determined to fill the day with joy and not with sadness and longing. ]

We'll take several, I bet we'll have to accommodate a lot of people.

[ blankets can be washed, and even if the stains will stick it's a small price to pay to give her a good day. ]

Not too many, I hope.

[ it's a soft-spoken confession. she is not one to mind crowds, not truly but today, of all days, she seems keener on a smaller gathering. ]

Or I might forget to properly thank them all.

Oh, I forget quite a lot.

[ she waves a dismissing hand but not without a smile. ]

Even after months, here. I am so terribly used to ladies-in-waiting and maids, they have never let me forget a single thing. But now -

[ 'I am alone' would not do as it is not entirely true, only - ]

Life here is an adjustment to us all.

You're very adaptable, if I didn't know better I'd think you were always here.

[ he wishes she could be, honestly. as sucky as this place is it can't be worse than westeros.

it makes him think of how good she could do in national city, and that makes his heart hurt. ]

Now you try to flatter me. There is so much I do not know, yet. I have only recently learned to use the little box that warms the food.

[ and for the life of her, she cannot pronounce it. ]

[ he grins, a bratty brotherly sort of smile. ]

Ah yeah, the microwave is a literal lifesaver.

That would flatter my dress. Unless you wish to flatter the embroidery as that I've made by own hand.

[ ah! microwave. ]

Micro-wave. Does it have any at all to do with waves?

[ she thinks of the ocean. what an odd connection. ]

It is amazing work, as always.

[ he smiles, before launching into an explanation accompanied by hand demonstrations. ]

It does, yeah. They're waves of electromagnetic radiation. Basically, okay - think of the microwave oven as space. The food is the planet, and there's this thing called a magnetron, that's basically our sun. The rotating dish inside is the axis that rotates planet Food so all sides get equal exposure to the sun's rays - in this case microwaves. Waves that hit the reflective surface that coats the inside of the oven bounce off it, so they're not harming the device, but when they hit the food, they go through it, making it vibrate faster, and those vibrations heat up the food.

Oh yeah no, they're invisible.

[ he nods ]

We can actually only see very little of the radiation around us.

They are invisible.

[ her smile is small and impish. ]

I would blame anyone else for fabricating this little tale to me. Only I know that if you say so, it ought to be true. Are there many such invisible forces around us?

[ he smiles warmly ]

Most forces in the world are invisible - we deduce their existence from their influence. Like - [ he sets the camera down so it films his feet, jumps, and once he's back on terra firma, holds the camera back to his face. ]

I don't see anything holding me down, but the fact I don't drift off into space tells me there's gravity. That being said - just because our eyes can't detect something, doesn't mean that some cool tech can't help us see it. It would just take a little work. [ he means a lot, don't believe him. ]
