Er, so a lot of strange things seem to be happening, but none of us are dead or being attacked again, so I figure it's best not to question it.

No. That's not even the thing I was rating. [Mass murder is small potatoes. Like a 15 at best!] And we were essentially in a war. There just weren't any governments left to officially declare it one. [Unofficial soldier status? Unless you count the slavers who attacked the ships... How many do you need for a mass?]
