It's like flying underwater. [Though Sorey doesn't do it again, at least, Mikleo's chiding don't do that so abruptly echoing in his mind.] Do you wanna try it out? It's really fun.

[Part of him wants to say no. Allen's no speed demon. But Sorey seems so happy and it really was a rare opportunity and a good chance to see his power. So finally, he smiles and nods]

Alright, sure. I'd like to try it out.

[Half of this joy is Mikleo's too, and most of the confidence; they're in his element. They're in his very soul, the makeup of his being. Sorey is invited to experience the unadulterated comfort Mikleo finds in being surrounded by water, being connected to what grounds him the most, what makes him feel safe and assured in his own strength and ability. There's really nothing like it.

So Sorey holds out their hand to Allen. Just to get started, it's probably best to hold on for a little while. Until they get their bearings.]

[Whoever's joy it is, it's a nice thing to see. Even if it means testing to see if he's prone to seasickness. So he'll reach out to take that hand with his own gloved hand (yeah, you better bet he found water-proof gloves to wear)]

[The daredevil grin Allen gets is 100% Sorey's, though.

They don't start breakneck, but it doesn't take long for them to start manipulating the currents to get that way; like the trails of bubbles seals leave behind as they twist through the water, fluid and sure, the ocean seeming to part in front of them and lessening the drag of resistance on their clothes. It really is a lot like flying, only when you come to a stop you float instead of fall.

Sorey tugs on Mikleo for help moving the water around Allen, making sure to give him control while still keeping him agile. It's actually kind of fun, and hard work; usually when they armatize it's all about quelling and precision as it relates to brute force, not these little finer things.]

[Allen's been flying before, a number of times. With Lavi, it was terrifying. He only went breakneck speeds and was never cautious enough about where they'd land.

Sorey and Mikleo aren't as reckless or bad as Lavi. He doesn't feel the need to scream in terror the entire time they swim. In fact after he gets past the initial bracing for doom, it's...a bit of a rush. He finds himself opening his eyes and looking around in wonder at how fast they are going. It's not even too long before he starts using his arms and legs to swim himself instead of just mostly relying on Sorey. ]

[Sorey can't help but watch Allen slowly take over with his own degree of admiration; Mikleo pulses warm and pleased with himself next to Sorey's soul as he manipulates the water around Allen to make his movements smoother.]

Fun, right? [Sorey twists their body and loops around Allen.] Like flying without being afraid of falling.

Mm! It's definitely less terrifying!

[No fear of falling, and he's like 85% confident Sorey won't crash them into anything like Lavi would. He's still a bit out of his element, but he's relaxing and even looking like he's having fun.]

No wonder you guys travel like this!

[That's a generous percentage Allen]

Right?! Worlds with tons of water are the best. [Going through the kelp forests is like half as annoying when you can just use the currents to wave it out of your face.] I guess I'm pretty spoiled with the convenience of it.

[Hell yeah it is! Even Clay would only get a 90%.

Haha. He has near-crippling trust issues. ]

I'll say! You can't even feel any drag from the water! [Since man even with all his strength does he feel sore after swimming against the currents all day] How long did you guys have to practise this?

Practice? [practice what] Well, usually we only armatize for battle...the only other times we've done it are here, a couple times, to explore the ocean. Oh, and on that poisoned moon. But nothing like this before.

What? This is your first time swimming like this?

[ He's not really mad, but HE HAD TO TRAIN FOR YEARS TO GET TO HIS LEVEL OK. ]

[Barks out a laugh, holding up his hands.] Second time! I'm not showing off, this is just- this is all Mikleo, really!

[He makes a fake tut-tut sound with his tongue]

You two are very strong together. It's very impressive.

[Okay so he's showing off a little bit...BUT HOW CAN'T HE, LOOK AT HOW AMAZING MIKLEO IS, WILLSMITHPOSE.JPEG]

Lailah said the same thing; she thinks it's because we grew up together. [Spins in the current a little bit to make their clothes twist, definitely not showing off, just enjoying himself.] I had a lot more trouble when I armatized with her at first. I couldn't even figure out how to separate.

[Pretty sure the will smith pose looks really weird when the person you're showing off is in you.]

Ah, that makes sense actually. You two spend so much time together, being able to synchronise would be much easier. [In other words, YOU'RE DRIFT COMPATIBLE.] And really? So you were stuck in an armatization?

Yeah; not for long, but it was kind of weird. Still, I didn't have any trouble after that, so I guess we can count ourselves lucky. [Sorey's not really sure what counts as 'Shepherd aptitude' (resonance maybe?) but Lailah seemed pleased by his progress at any rate, and that's good enough for him.]
