[Beverly sighs in relief.]

No, I'm all right. I just can't see anything. Except... wait! Look up ahead!

[There seems to be a light at the end of the tunnel. How poetic.]

[Riona's already moving towards it as Beverly points it out.]

There's our best chance, I'm thinking. Let's just hope it's not another trap.

[Beverly hums in agreement as she starts swimming towards the opening as well. Fortunately, the current seems to be guiding them in that direction anyway, so there's not that to contend with at least. As they draw closer, the lighting gets brighter and Beverly is able to see Riona once more, much to her relief.

They flow through another doorway like the first - and as soon as they are past it, it too begins to slide shut with a loud grinding noise, leaving them in a windowless and doorless room. There are, however, large, colorful tiles covering the floor of this room. Beverly settles down to stand on one of these tiles and give her arms a break - but once she puts pressure on the tile, it lets out a single, loud note. Immediately she jumps back up and warily floats in the water above the floor.]

A puzzle, you think? Or a trap?

[Riona swims over to another tile, gingerly pressing against it.]

You know, it sort of sounds like... almost like music?

Hmm...

[She lets herself sink to the floor again, lightly resting a foot on the tile. The note plays again. She puts her other foot on the neighboring tile, which lets out a higher, longer note than the first.]

You know, I think you may be right.

So... are we supposed to play some sort of song? Maker, this could take ages. If it's a song native to this place, we won't know it!

Maybe not a full song... Perhaps we should go for a basic scale first? See what that does?

We can try that. Or press on them and see what all notes it has.

[She sighs.]

How tedious. But it seems to be our best option.

All right. I'll take this side of the room, you take the other side?

Sounds like a plan.

[She swims over to the opposite corner and lands on the tile there, which lets out an extremely high note. She looks over at Riona expectantly.]

[Riona swims over to her side, floating above a tile. After Beverly presses her tile, Riona tries the one below her. It lets out a lower note than Beverly's.]

[So far, so good. However, the next one Beverly presses is higher even than Riona's... Clearly there is no set order that the tiles are in. That would be too easy, wouldn't it?

But as they go along, they will find if they hit two notes in succession to each other on the scale, the two tiles will stay lighted up - so there is progress! If they can get all the tiles lighted in proper order, then the whole floor will start to rise up...]
