[ Kai is almost paranoid about making it clear they're not dating, and while he thinks he knows Jim well enough that it's already clear, this is still uncharted territory, the whole friends with benefits thing. It blurs the lines more than he's used to. ]

Always good to have a back-up plan.

[ Kai's movements are more a flail than anything else, the kind of thing that with enough energy and a little bit of natural buoyancy will keep him above the surface of water, but that's the most he's ever done. ]
