[Vash floats near the water temple. Having heard of there being a treasure possibly from home inside. It was an interesting prospect.

Having not even thought to ask if anyone wanted to join him on this dangerous adventure he hesitates a bit as he wonders how risky this might be.

Then he starts forward. He's Vash the Stampede! How dangerous can one temple be? He'll probably survive just fine!

Probably...

Of course, having two guardian angels who looks suspiciously like a pirate navigator and a American hunter would probably greatly up his chances at survival.]

[Vash takes a glance over at Nami and decides to stay quiet. Letting the two swimmers think as he goes back to staring at the water.

Hm. Could he swim over it? No, even just floating near the doorway he can feel the current trying to pull him in. Maybe if he swims really hard and fast?

Or maybe he should stop here. He knows he's not the strongest swimmer and doesn't want to possibly burden these two.]

[Nami is contemplating the swim, but give how sharply the cotton piece veered off course she rather suspects it's going to be stronger than they can manage in some portions of the room, at least.]

...maybe. You got any more cotton? We should send a whole bunch of test pieces at different points from here.

[If he doesn't, well... maybe she can turn something up. Or use Vash. :D]

[Or there's option three. Instincts and impatience are always a fun mix in her chosen field. About halfway through Vash's last sentence, Nami tilts her head, gives a small hmm and just kind of steps crossways into the room proper and pushes up away from the ground.

Uh--- I don't know. [He's never seen anything like this before. It looks like Nami's about to get turned into a pin cushion, but then suddenly yanked away to a safer area.]

AHHH! LOOK OUT! [But nope. Even before he finishes his shouting Nami looks to be whisked away out of danger again.]

[By the time she makes it halfway across the room Nami has such a smug look on her face. She loves she's good at this, yo. Alighting on the other side to turn and wave.]

I found the way through! Hold on, I'll come back and guide you through--

[The door's opening behind her, spilling light and, uh. The giant shadow of something swimming past. That's probably fine.]

[T-twitch.

But that shadow doesn't look very good. He cups his hands around his mouth to strengthen his voice beyond the current. Somehow, it echoes louder in the water; this place makes absolutely no sense, and he hates it.]

I think you've got company over there! Be careful...!

[Don't make him try to follow in a panic for your safety, mkay.

They'll all be dead then.]

[Why do you like guns for a anti-violence guy Vash? Well, maybe for times like this when the danger is in the distance? Too bad he doesn't have any weapons that works at a distance underwater.]

Y-yeah! Like really, really careful! Or better yet, maybe come back over here?

[He could maybe do something if the creature was a bit closer.]

[Man, you're meant to be impressed, not yelling warnings

Turning to glance over her shoulder just as something huge and eel-like with giant teeth just, y'know, alters course and charges right for the doorway.]

YAAAAA--!!

[MIGHTY NAVIGATOR. Unfortunately with a monster right there all her common sense goes right out the window and she just backpedals back into the current room without looking. At least she has quick reflexes of shit that was really stupid and reaches out to claw at the edge of the doorway, scoring a grip just before she can go hurtling off to the side down the wrong path to spiky death, but--

--oh well. Eel monster has no need of these silly doorways and bursts right through, crumbling rock on either side. It was going for Nami, but it went right past Nami, so now it's between them all and looking for new targets, generally too big to give much of a damn about the currents. Have fun?

...Nami probably managed to keep hold of the door. Maybe. There's an ugly thing in the way.]

[Sam pushes off hard against one of the walls, because the creature is swimming right at him with teeth curved in his general direction; watch yourself, Vash! But as it flies by, Sam whips out his rather impressive machete (get your mind out of the gutter if you were thinking otherwise) and gives the beast an ugly cut across the gills as it speeds by.

He rather unceremoniously goes hitting a wall, but the water cushions any real injury.]

Look out over there!

[Vash is already moving out of the way of McTeeth. He quickly follows Sam's example and kicks off the wall and scoots under the creature.

He's impressed by the machete. Where was Sam keeping that this whole time?

Although, not as impressed with the implication.] Hey! Careful! Cut it's gills too much and you'll kill it!

[Of course, Vash has started to get himself in trouble with the current trying to pull himself into the spiky death room.

Uh-oh. He's probably fine, but at least a bit distracted keeping himself out to keep arguing more about making sushi.]

...hanging on for dear life tbh, though she will wrangle one of her staff pieces into hand. Is she going to fry everyone trying to barbecue an eel monster?

HELL NO SHE'S NOT CRAZY. This is the wind piece, jeez. She's just kind of. Going to point it in the direction the current's trying to drag her.] Gust sword!




[Resultant gust of wind does absolutely nothing to help you guys against the monster, but does have the added effect of catapulting a navigator through the door out of view to the other side. On the bright side, she's not holding onto a crumbling wall with a current trying to perforate her on some spikes...
