[ The face of a slightly confused young woman is what her fellow passengers are going to see, suddenly, as Lunafreya tries to figure out just what the heck she's doing with the communicator she's been given. The image shakes for a moment before she manages to get it steady, and she clears her throat. ]

Hello. My name is Lunafreya Nox Fleuret, and I must ask a favor of you all. I've only just arrived and I've been told the most basic of details. If it would not be of too much trouble, I would like to hear more. I simply know that we are on some sort of television show. Your assistance is much obliged.

[ There's a pause as a single piece of confetti falls from the top of her blond head. ] And thank you to whomever bestowed me with such a warm welcome. [ ...And pudding. ]

[ After the broadcast ends, Luna heaves a sigh and straightens up once more. It's time to go exploring her new 'home' and perhaps get a few more answers as well. The rest of the confetti is brushed from her shoulders and now miraculously clean and altered floor length white gown, injuries sustained at home gone...

It's strange. Almost as strange as being in space.

The Oracle can be found wandering the ship, slowly as it were, taking in every single thing she can. ]

I think it's a lot of doing things that also provide entertainment to the masses, but what did you have in mind?

I was thinking charity work or something along those lines, but I suppose that is somewhat of a difficult task if we do not stay on the same planets for long periods of time.

Charity work? [Your mind already works so differently from his, but he considers that a good thing.] You probably don't need that long to help people.

I feel help is the only thing I have to offer at the moment. To be able to reach as many people as possible... is more than I could ask for, really.

Oh. [Slightly at a loss, but curious.] What kind of charity, helping things do you do when you do them?

[ This is a tough question. She's an Oracle and natural healer at home, but she's not so sure her magic will do anyone any sort of good here considering everything... ]

I usually spend time with the sick and dying at home and do what I can to ease their suffering.

Wow. That sounds like it would be really hard. [He spent so much of his life trying to distract himself from harsh things, not seeking them out to invite them in.] Are you a doctor?

It can be, but mostly it is quite rewarding. At the end of the day, just knowing I was able to help even a few people is a wonderful feeling. [ His question has her simply smiling and shaking her head. ] No... but at home, I am somewhat of a healer of sorts.

[ Oracle, really, but she has no intention of giving that title out if she can avoid it. People at home treat her differently because of said title, and she doesn't want that here. ]

How is a healer different? [He looks curious and a little confused. He was just working on learning about Earth and now there are all these other cultures to consider. He used to think he was pretty universal in his knowledge, but it hasn't been helping since he's been here.]

Well... I suppose it depends on the person doing the healing. But in my world, I was in charge of keeping something called the Starscourge at bay. It requires the use of magic, you see.

[ Ah, yes. That is the ONE THING she can at least count on to not be here: the Starscourge. It's a relief, although she can't imagine how her homeworld is being ravaged right now... ]

Oh, yes, I've heard of others using magic here too. [Those using it at home were often dangerous, but so far no one has seemed like those imps so he doesn't worry too much.]

Starscourge sounds bad. Especially if it negatively affects a system's star.

Really? That's good to know. Did you have magic in your world as well? [ She tips her head slightly -- it's always nice to hear of other people who have magic. At home, the only ones she knew about were King Regis, Noctis, and herself. And hers paled in comparison to theirs. ]

It is. It threatens to plunge our star into eternal darkness. Unfortunately, the people of my world are also succumbing to it and becoming extremely ill, or worse yet dying.

Not on Daxam, but there were travelers sometimes with those kinds of powers. [They usually killed them?]

I'm sorry. Losing a star is devastating. [He'd heard about it happening in other systems. And of course, he'd lost his world when Krypton came apart.]

I see. There are only a select few on Eos who have magic as well. [ Well that's not pleasant......... ]

Indeed it is... but there is always light at the end of the tunnel. Someone has been tasked with purging the scourge rather than just healing it, and I am positive that he will be successful.

[Not initially. Just after things got bad because of them.]

That should set your mind at ease while you're here then. Less worrying about home and more focusing on...all of this?

[ Still, ouch... :< ]

Yes, it does. [ That's a lie and she knows it -- she'll always worry about home. About Noctis and his friends, about the nights stretching longer and longer. But the fact of the matter is that she can't do anything about it anymore... at home or here. ]

Yes, this is definitely my primary focus now. I pray nothing like the Starscourge ever happens here.

Hopefully the gods will listen to you. If it helps I haven't seen anything like that since I've been here and I'm up to four months now.

They usually do... [ ...All but Ifrit. But we don't talk about Ifrit. ] Still, it is a good thing to hear. Although I am unsure as to how it would even work here... you see, as the night stretch longer at home, more and more daemons come out. But since we are in space and sun is a little... limited unlike if we were planetside, I'm not quite sure what would happen. I don't think I want to find out.
