[So Nami had been intending to grow her hair out again, but recent events have proven it's gonna take a little more time. As of a week ago, her hair has been carved back to its short status for reasons she hasn't bothered sharing, and she's been in a terrible mood for the entire time. Which has much less to do with her hair and more to do with her two temple runs and the treasure (or not) that she found.

On the other hand, this sponsor delivery she's just found in the Bloodsport's cargo bay really just rounds off the feeling she's being picked on.]

...cute. At best, you're late.

[Sup, Flooters. This is Nami kicking a crate-sized box over, sending glittery, silky hair ties and ribbons and combs and assorted accessories bouncing across the floor, her voice that cheerful sickly sweet that will rise the hackles of anyone who's spent too much time in close proximity with her.]

Free to a good home! It's in the Bloodsport cargo bay, come and take it by all means. [Be warned, though, this pile of hair accessories are the kind you'd expect to find in a kiddie aisle that's been painted obnoxiously pink.] I'm not gonna be here. I hope they're all gone by the time I come back.

On that note, I'm going up to the surface. I doubt anyone else is heading up that way, but I'm going up to test some stuff and that'll make the area hazardous to suddenly turn up in, so. Fair warning, just avoid the area around these coordinates. [Coordinates given. It's a freaking planet of water, there's plenty of surface area, but her luck is inconvenient at best so let's avoid anyone haplessly surfacing in the middle of a lightning field, yeah?]

I hope everyone else is having a better week.

[Now excuse her, she's off to vent her frustration with a waver and a glorified storm stick.]

[She starts at the sudden bump, looking down. And then grins.]

Mine is... not exactly peaceful, but I love it anyway. Being out on this fleet is a waste of my talents.

Is it okay if I pet your pig?

[Saizou chews on his sparkly ribbon and sits on his back haunches, grunting, and Okita laughs a little.]

He seems to be alright with it, so certainly.

But what talents do you have that are wasted here?

Well, I'm a navigator and a cartographer. Both of those are pretty much useless out here-- space is a lot more complicated to navigate than the sea, even if the Atroma didn't have us on a fixed course. There isn't even any weather out here that I can get a read on.

I mean, I'm far from useless here, but...

That's unfortunate. [Although, the water planet must be great for her.]

Although here, you must be having a good time again. The sea is as wide as the planet for once.

Is that what you went above the water for? To navigate again?

The horizon never changes, so it might get old after a while. But yeah, I did have fun while I was up there. And we routinely go to places with lakes and rivers and oceans, so...

I didn't go up there for that, though, no. I went up to test my climatact.

That's good then. ...But a climatact? [He goes slowly to parse out the new word.]

What exactly is that?

The weapon I carry. [She won't pull it out, but he won't have missed the fact she has three pieces of blue staff sections holstered at her hip. Especially when she taps it lightly.]

It affects the weather.

[So that's what that thing was. He'd been curious about it from the moment he saw her, but pointing it out wasn't the purpose of this trip.]

A weapon that can affect the weather? Is it made of magic?

Science! Though it's of a nature nobody seems to be familiar with, so I guess you may as well call it magic. [From the easy way she says it, Nami doesn't really care either way.] It didn't show up with me. The Atroma fed it to me in pieces over the last year.

[Something she's still pissy about, but going up to the surface and venting has helped a whole lot.]

[I mean...even if she had explained it to him, he would have stuck with calling it magic. Just "magic science" instead.]

Oh! When did you finally complete it then?

Yesterday.

[There's a 180 mood for ya.]

[Well, she can be a grumpy gus, but here is Okita being happy as ever. He gives her a biiiiiig smile and waves his hands a little. If he knew they were jazz hands, he'd call them that, but instead, it's just wavy hands.]

Congratulations then~!

[Snrk. It's hard to hold onto her grumpy mood in the face of such enthusiasm, but she tries for a good few seconds before she just sighs, giving him a resigned little grin.]

Well, it's better than never getting it at all, right? And it's all in one piece. Others probably haven't been so lucky.

Indeed. I'm glad to hear that you have found all of the pieces now.

[He looks down at Saizou who is back to rooting about looking for something new to chew on.]

I'm also glad that Saizou didn't come in pieces like that though.

[Oh, she winces at the visual that presents, also glancing down.] Yeah... thankfully, they don't seem to be that callous. Pets come back to people all the time. I guess having cute animals around makes for good ratings.

[Not that she'd have considered a pig cute before this, given most of them are gigantic slovenly slobs, but...]

[Pigs are TOTALLY CUTE OKAY. He smiles a little wider at the insinuation that Saizou belongs in the "cute animal" category.]

I suppose it must. And Saizou is a very cute pig.

[To which the piglet snorts loudly and somewhat derisively before following his nose back toward a bunch of boxes.]

Our ship now has quite a few animals on it though - a pig, a panda, a cat? And a Rhea. I'm not sure what she is, but she's very fluffy and warm.

[And a Flareon that could burn them all to cinders.]

[If there's something edible in those boxes, frankly Saizou is entitled. Nami glances after him anyway out of habit, looking amused.]

A panda...? You must be on Takeshi's ship! Unless there are two pandas on board the Fleet. I hope all the animals get on.

Ah, so you know him already.

[It's not unusual, seeing how he's been here long enough and he's one of the few children aboard. Okita laughs a little and shakes his head.]

I'm fairly sure there is only one panda so far, but you never know what else might appear out of the temples.

...I don't like the idea of animals being shoved in those treasure chests at the end, though. [Seems cruel.]

Mm... Neither do I.

[He watches as Saizou continues to search around the hold.]

But it seems he doesn't really remember being stuck in it at all. Or if he does, he doesn't seem disturbed by it.

Well, the Atroma have shown how fast they are at making people appear and disappear on the Fleet. It's probable they put him in there half a moment before you opened the chest.

[He almost visibly relaxes at that thought, his shoulders dropping and his smile turning a little bit brighter.]

That would be nice if that were the case.

[Now if only they could bring people he missed here. Or let him communicate with them.]

Even though I don't like having him trapped here at all, it's...nice to see him again.

A little company from home, huh? [She smiles softly.] I think pets would be amazing for that, yeah. You don't have to feel so terrible that you've pulled them away from anything important.

Oh, but I did!

[Saizou loops back around and yawns, grunting at nothing in particular before flopping onto his side.]

He has a very important job at home. I hope his absence hasn't caused an upheaval.

Oh yeah? [She looks amused.] What kind of job does he have?
