Water Tribe in Water Temple on Water Planet
Who: Allen Walker, Clay Terran, Sokka
Broadcast: None
Action: At one of the water temples.
When: Sometime in March!
[On a day where Allen managed to step away from helping with the plague victims, he was convinced to come along to visit one of these temples that were laying around the planet's ocean floor with Clay and Sokka. Even if running through ruins wasn't his idea of great vacation (ruins rarely had food), it didn't seem like a bad way to spend his day with his boyfriend and best friend.
Plus if he was there, there was much less of a chance that either of them could get themselves killed by some giant fish, or their own curiosity.
So he's at the entrance of the temple, a sword and knife equipped just in case something goes wrong - along with a bag of snacks. While the other two get ready in their own way, he's yet again attempting in vain to get his long white hair to stop floating everywhere.]
Ugh...I swear if another fish get caught in my hair....

And this is why Sokka's ponytail is the best, look at him, no hair worries at all. Life is grand. He reaches over to try and pilfer some of those snacks because preparing for an expedition is hungry work don't you know. ]
Why don't you just braid it?
no subject
Or put it in a bun?
no subject
[Yeah yeah Sokka your hair is fabulous and wonderful. He considers a braid- but eh, that'd take too much time. So instead he goes with Clay's suggestion and just quickly ties it up in a sloppy bun. There. Here's hoping that holds]
Okay.
Are we ready?
no subject
Sokka pulls a face, snatching his hand away.]
But I'm hungry now.
[And, hair problem solved: ]
And yeah, sure. I'm set.
no subject
I've been ready! Come on!
no subject
We ate an hour ago, you'll be fine.
[But with Clay drifting, Allen's attention gets drawn there and follows after.]
We're coming. Don't leave us behind. [YOU'RE TOO SQUISHY FOR THAT]
no subject
That was an hour ago. A whole hour.
[But making sure Clay doesn't stumble into a trap and die is more important than eating (HE GUESSES) so he heads on after them.]
Yeah, we need your brain.
no subject
[But he'll wait for the other two. They're much more capable than he is with fighting and weaponry, after all, so best if he doesn't move on ahead.]
I wonder if the Dasioe used this temple as a place of worship... and if they did, which god they were worshiping here, or if it was for all three of them?
no subject
[But with all three of them together now, Allen will go ahead and head in first into the temple, letting them speculate what this temple might have been used for. Instead, he'll just focus on making sure there's no traps or monsters ahead. Which in the entry area? So far nothing. Yay]
no subject
[Which is exactly why they're here in the first place. Gonna use their brains, gonna solve some puzzles. Sokka glances around making a thoughtful hum.]
Maybe there was a fourth god? Or just one and then they split it up into the three. You know, like they decided they wanted to worship three different ways, and then: boom- three different gods.
no subject
Those are both good points. There's some aspects of religion back in my world that work like that too - the whole splitting into thee parts thing. Or... something like that. Right, Allen?
[Allen would know more about the religious aspect of things than he would. Clay and religion don't really mix well.]
no subject
[In the center of the first room, there's a stone altar with an inscription on it. Allen approaches it, reading through it]
"...Those who complete the trials ahead will be bestowed with otherworldly treasures...."
That...doesn't sound very religious.
no subject
Are these actually good treasures, though, or are they ironically bad treasures? Like a cursed but really big slab of gold?
no subject
no subject
[What are you talking about Clay anything food related IS a treasure to the Blue Fish crew]
I suppose we won't find out unless we do the trials. What do you two think? [WANNA GO PUT YOUR NECK OUT FOR CURSED GOLD OR SALT?]
no subject
[They have such priorities. Sokka moves around the perimeter, largely on the lookout for traps. ]
Well, we got this far, might as well!
no subject
Yeah, what's the point of turning back now? [He looks over at Allen with a big smile,] Besides, we've got you here. We can take on whatever's ahead! We'll be fine!
no subject
[He smiles at Clay and pumps his fist a little] Hey, don't discredit yourself. I'm sure we'll need your brains and Sokka's ingenuity. I'm just here to hit things that need hitting.
[And that's teamwork!!]
But that settles it! [He points to the doors of the trials] Let's do this!
no subject
[And so it is with considerable confidence he starts towards the first door.]
no subject
Of all things, it's this that makes Clay stop and stare at what's going on.]
Whoa... How'd they do that? [He swims upward to try and see if there's some kind of hidden mechanism with the door.] These ruins must be centuries old; what kind of engineering made this possible?
no subject
[Because why not? But Allen steps through the door. Within the first room, it looks to be some kind of puzzle that involves moving statues around to different spots on the ground to match a certain order. Those types of deals. There's a series of doors along the walls with symbols on the not unlike the spots on the ground, but it's not clear which door is the real one.]
...Ehhh, I feel like I just stepped into a video game.
no subject
[This is pretty basic Northern Water tribe stuff, honestly, he can live with opening doors. Power of water, and all that.
But oooh, that puzzle. Sokka swims over, glancing at the symbols, then at the statues. Okay, okay. ]
I wonder which one of these doors we want? I mean, it'd suck if one led to our death, which might actually happen you never know.
no subject
Mm, yeah. Maybe these symbols would mean something to the Dasioe, but to us...
[He lightly kicks his feet so that he's up near the ceiling, getting more of a bird's eye view of everything.]
If this works like a video game, then just testing out doors might make monsters pop up if we get the wrong one. Or we won't know 'til it's too late.
no subject
[He thinks about it, as he looks around. None of these symbols mean anything to him]
Maybe if we just stay out of the way of the door when we open each one, we won't get hit by any traps? If it's a monster, I can handle that.
no subject
Okay but guys if we do that, what if the door doesn't close again? What if we end up with like, a room full of monsters? I don't know about you guys, but I so do not want to fight a room full of monsters today.
