[He's... somewhat pleased. A few months ago he might've been infuriated by this argument, might've thrown a tantrum because how dare he have something in common with a human, but... curing diseases? That's relevant to his interests.
He looks down, smiles a little.]
... Perhaps I will look at some of these other textbooks after all.

[and the gears are not only turning in his head of his. the light behind his eyes says he's got an entire world building from the ground up in there.]

Yes, it can. That's the most common application of domestic spells. We have brooms that move by themselves, lanterns that follow you and cast light without a touch. And that's only a couple of examples.
But mana isn't endless. I'll need to... find some other way of getting some, because mine will deplete with the magic I use.

[He bites his bottom lip.]
It will not be pleasant, but I will manage.

[he can't imagine what that would be like, to lose the source of your energy like that.]

This isn't something you can help with, and I greatly discourage you from offering should you ever find yourself possessing magic.
[He leans in. Celsius ambles around in the background picking up books from the floor.]
Having your mana drained is incredibly painful. It feels like having your skin slowly peeled off while your blood boils inside your veins. You can scream, but if any of my brethren are thirsty enough, they will not care.
I am not telling you this lightly. If you have friends who can use magic, they must guard themselves from anyone who looks like I do. [A pause.] Except for Adrasteius. He would never feed on someone without their consent. But there may be other blood elves, and they should be watched carefully.

You asked, [he says quite matter-of-factly, and turns to help Celsius put a few books back on the shelf.]
