Hiya! Okay, so, I have an important question. What's your favorite star system? I know we visit them a lot, but I wanna know what you've liked most, especially if you've been to a bunch of them.

That's so cool, I don't think I've ever heard about that kinda thing happening in the Milky Way, but that's still really cool! Imagine living on it! I bet it was all unique about everything.

It definitely was very unique. Crystals grew on the creature's bodies that could be used to power ships. [But something she says has his attention.] You've been around the Milky Way?

Uh-huh. I'm from the Brisingr globular cluster. Windermere specifically!! I lived on Ragna before I got here, though.

I've never heard of it. I'm from Earth, in the Solar System. Is that one in your version of the Milky Way?

Uh-huh. Most of my friends are from Earth, kinda, though most of 'em were born on these giiiiiant city ships.

It seems Earth is a popular planet to bring people from. [Which surprises him, really. You'd think aliens with crazy abilities would be more interesting than regular humans.] City ships? As in colonies?

Kinda! I bet it's 'cause humans are interesting, you know? Everyone I know is really smart and really good at getting outta bad situations. And they don't really give up, they just keep goin' no matter what's going on, you know? I can see why that's entertaining.

And yeah... I dunno the entire history, but I think there was a biiiig war on Earth, so they decided to send a bunch of people into space to explore. There are city ships all over the galaxy, trying to find life and places to live and stuff.

Nope, I guess I kinda look it, but I'm not. Umm, most races look the same actually, 'cause of this thing called the Protoculture? Even if we're all different and stuff.

There's still lots of people on Earth! Just not as many in space, 'cause it can't support a big population anymore.

[She pauses, and hums for a second.]

What's your Earth like?

[Most races look the same. He isn't sure how he feels about that, especially after the recent Keith discovery. It sounds like somethings was lost.]

Space can't support a big population? But if you're able to build colonies, space has infinite room. [How do you run out of space in... well, space?!]

Definitely populated - it's a thing that's been talked about for years now. But peaceful. We are exploring space to expand our horizons, not because of need. We're still doing fine there.

[You run out of space when there's a lot of species and you don't wanna start war. And then it happens anyway because lol macross.]

I guess it kinda depends? There's a lot of Protoculture races out there, so that can make colonizing kinda hard even if people wanna do it. Windermere didn't want anyone on our planet.

[She hums, though. At least it's peaceful somewhere.]

That's good, though! Stuff changes pretty fast once you have access to space, so I betcha things'll change fast for your Earth.
