[ The friendship he's found himself in with Hawke isn't something he had expected in the least - it's a bit surprising, but he's getting used to it. Being familiar with someone that isn't a seraph or his Shepherd... It's novel.

[ He turns to her with a wide grin. ]

[ Their friendship isn't something she had expected either but she still embraced, as she has always done. Hawke has always made friends with ease, it's almost uncanny how she does it.

His grin only serves to widen her own into something more cheshire like. ]

[ With a body like that who wouldn't want to watch him? ]

[ There's a part of Zaveid that thinks he ought to keep himself at a distance, not let himself be around people again, but... If he did that then he'd have to keep away from Rose, from the others, from anyone, and he's not sure that's worth the pain either.

He wants to be happy, not to suffer, and isolating himself had already proved to be a bad idea. ]

I'd hate to let down a pretty lady.

[ And he winks. ]

[ Not that she'd let him stay isolated, not now that she has gotten to know him to some extent. She's likes him a little too much, enjoys the easy company free of expectation and pressure.

She laughs chuckles, tilting head head towards him. ]

Don't worry, you'll have try pretty hard to let me down.

[ But he's laughing, and he turns his body, adjusting so he can look at her a little better. His eyes do flick over to the bar, though, and he watches to see if Dezel's wandering around before he focusses on his company. ]

[ The flick of his eyes doesn't go unnoticed, the corners of her mouth twitch and Hawke follows his gaze briefly. ]
