[Velvet had woken up in one strange tin can and had only just started to get her bearings when she was suddenly transported to another strange tin can. This isn't how she was expecting today to go.

She stumbles a little but manages to catch herself, oblivious to the fanfare that signals her arrival.]

Where--?

[She takes a moment to steady herself, shaking her head to clear it. She blinks, focusing on her surroundings, trying to make sense of things.]

...Is that pudding?

[Where does pudding fit into all this? And that's not even mentioning the confetti. Actually she hasn't even noticed that yet, or the fact that a lot of it has fluttered into her hair. She looks pretty festive for someone so cranky.]

It's the first thing I recognized.

[There's a lot of stuff to take in and most of it's foreign. At least she knows pudding on sight.

But, wait, she knows that voice. She's pretty sure, anyway. She looks around, confused.]

Guess it's one thing that's familiar.

[ He grins. It's been... A long time for him, but at least she knows who he is. ]

I'm that recognisable? Hey there, Velvet.

I guess. We've spent enough time together that I recognize your voice, anyway.

[She looks around, still confused. Honestly, what is going on.]

Where are you?

I guess we did spent a lot of time together, didn't we?

[ Welcome to space, Velvet. ]

Uh, I'm on my ship. Huntress.

Yeah.

[The way he says that they spent time together is a little weird, but okay. So is everything else here, pretty much.

She is pretty unsure of space, thanks.]

I'm...on a ship, too. I guess.

Yeah? Which one? Maybe I'll come by and say hello.

[ As long as SOMEONE isn't there. ]

[She's still trying to put things together. It's a lot to take in.]

[Just. Grumpily trying to get rid of the confetti now. Why this.]

You'll have the best luck with using a comb to go through your hair before you shower. Believe me, once that stuff is wet, it's there forever.

It's confetti, actually. When we arrived here we were welcomed with aplomb. Confetti, cakes and congratulation it seems. Although, I am dubious as to where all this will lead.

[He adjusted his fedora and glanced across to the confetti littering the floor of their craft.]

It seems we're ship mates now you and I. Izunia, Ardyn Izunia.

[it's said snappishly, but she does actually seek out the information. She's just real grumpy about it.

Eventually she responds again.]

Red Fish? Something like that.

[ It's lucky he's used to snappish people now... ]

Great. I'm gonna come and see you.

...A comb. Right.

[Does she still have her comb? She'll have to check. But she's a little too on guard at the moment.]

[She glances sharply Ardyn when he speaks. She almost argues that, no that is definitely pudding, she's not talking about the confetti, but the comment about being shipmates makes her pause and switch focus.]

Okay. And then will you tell me what's going on?

We are both aboard the SS Red Fish.

[He could hardly believe it himself but it seemed they had been shuffled by peoples unknown and placed aboard ships at random. The SS Red Fish is the one they were on since Ardyn had found out himself.]

As far as I know we are all placed aboard different ships at random, since our initial arrival on the Marsiva. We happen to be on the same ship, hence we are now ship mates.

[Sorry, you're sort of stuck with him?]

Sure I will!

[ As much as he can, anyway. Thankfully, he's a little better when it comes to the shuttles than he used to be and he makes his way over to the other ship, sending Velvet a message when he lands. ]

I've docked, come and get me.

[Which means it takes her a few minutes, but eventually she gets there to let him on board.]

[Well at least he has some useful information. That's something. She tilts her head, listening thoughtfully.]

The Marsiva...Is that where I woke up? I wasn't there long enough to learn anything.

[ And then he moves, coming off the shuttle and out onto the ship itself, and for a moment he just... Waits.
