Recipe #001 - Arrival
Who: Ignis Scientia
Broadcast: Network Communication
Action: Aboard the Marvisa
When: On the evening of the 28th
[When he'd stepped aboard the ship in Caem, he'd known that he'd be leaving behind everything he'd ever known for the unknown, but this? Not what he had in mind. The others are nowhere around—something that set off all of the panic buttons in his brain—and he is mostly definitely not in a water craft.
The air is chilled, but there's no salty tang. He's warm and feels as if he's enveloped in a blanket. After a few moments of trying to get his bearings, he leaves what appears to be a bed in a...medical type room. A search of his person turns up his cellphone, his notebook, pen and... another communications device. He takes a few seconds to appraise it before opening to use the item.]
Hello. I'm not sure whom I'm addressing, but my name is Ignis Scientia. As I appear to be new to this place and there are others here as well, I would like to know where I am and what is going on.
[The look on his face says that if you waste his time, he will hang up on you.]
Also, if anyone knows the whereabouts of Prompto Argentum, Gladiolus Amicitia or Noctis Caelum, I would appreciate being told.

[He shakes his head to get back to the matter at hand.]
Forgive me, Lady Luna. I'm sure you're not that interested in my theories. As for being stars in some reality television show, is there proof of this being the case, or are we merely told that?
no subject
[ Maybe. Either way, she offers him another smile. ]
Don't be silly, I enjoy listening to them. Ah... no, there really does not seem to be any proof that I can find. No one really knows if it is true or not. Unfortunate, really... I've a feeling that we are here for something other than mere television, personally.
no subject
[You know, what with rampaging empires, Gods, wars, deaths, and a million other things going on on Eos. Space travel seems the least of everyone's worries for the moment.]
Now's not the time for them. But it's not surprising that there's no proof. I can't disagree that something so powerful to rip us from our own worlds to this ship in space has ulterior motives than just "mere entertainment".
no subject
[ Without the threat of being ripped apart by Magitek soldiers or daemons, of course. ]
I have been tasked with becoming my ship's communications officer. Once you have been properly sorted, you, too, will be given a certain task for your ship. I'd imagine that if we are not here for reality television purposes, we are here to maintain and keep the fleet running.
no subject
[However, it is one of his goals to make sure that he and Noctis are able to make a world like that. That is the point of having a Chosen King supposedly.]
I am more apt to believe that we've been abducted to keep these space ships running than I am that we might be used for a television program. I suppose we will learn more the more we look, regardless if we're on the same ship or not.
no subject
[ She already knows she won't see the likes of space travel. Certain events have already come to pass for her, after all. ]
Agreed. Between the three of us, I'm certain that we will be able to find some sort of information. Three heads are better than one, and most of the people who dwell here are very kind and informative, I have found.
no subject
Well, it helps that they are willing to share the information they have. It will make things much easier. However, I'm not at all certain what my position will be once I leave this ship.
[At least he thinks he's on a ship. He can't be sure.]
no subject
[ Her small shoulders shrug ever so slightly, because she's got no idea what the poor man will have to face or do -- so long as he doesn't end up on the Redfish, that's all that matters. ]
It will all work out, though. You'll see.
no subject
[As if anything could really make him happy to be here and not on Eos.]
I have a feeling that your positive outlook on things will be needed later, but I suppose that at this point we must make the best of a bad situation.
no subject
[ She gestures towards the back of her left ear, before her hands fold politely once more. ]
When I boarded the Blameless, I found that I was able to use the communications technology as if I'd been doing so for years. Yet I'd never seen such devices until arriving here.
no subject
He lifts his own gloved hand to the left side of his own head, feeling a small bump behind his ear that makes his mood drop more.]
I see. Then it is only a matter of time before I find out with what it is that our "hosts" have gifted me.
no subject
Indeed you will. Which is exactly why I don't think we are here just for entertainment purposes. We all have a service to perform on each individual ship, whether we want to or not. Perhaps yours will be something easy -- I pray it to be so, so that you might find a little relaxation with the Prince.
no subject
But he won't forget it either.]
Well, I suppose they must give us something to do when things cannot be manufactured. And certain things cannot be done without giving us knowledge on how to keep ourselves alive on these. I doubt that the other captives here are from this world.
no subject
[ Which had been strange, but the whole concept was, and still is, a strange thing in her eyes. She is not supposed to even be here right now, and yet here she is, living and breathing as if the incident in Altissia had never happened. ]
no subject
Nothing here looks remotely familiar.
[Aside from her. However, being someone who isn't easily shaken, this is a bit much for him. He just has great practice at hiding it on his face. As he imagines so does she. The Oracle to the Six might be kind, compassionate and loving, but she is no fool either. And one doesn't survive the Niflheim Empire by wearing everything on one's face either.]
no subject
[ Along with other things, but if this place has the ability to take away immortality and drag people back from the dead, she can only imagine that they are far more powerful than they are letting on. ]
no subject
[They killed a god, after all. Not a very easy task.]
I suppose they also have the whole space travel option in their favor as well.
no subject
[ She sounds just the slightest bit amused, if anything. ]
They do. But we know not what else they have up their sleeve. Only time will tell, but at the very least the three of us are here together. There is safety in numbers, and the fact that everyone seems helpful in general thus far bodes well for us also.
no subject
[In his opinion, the entire Empire could use some humbling and the Chancellor is right at the top of the list, followed quickly by the emperor.]
I suppose it will fall to us to cultivate allies for Noctis. He is slow to warm up to others, and should the need arise, our abilities are a bit better than those of our friend.
[He won't mention Noctis's rank. Let anyone listening believe that he is just trying to garner back up for his best friend.]
no subject
[ She sounds a little bitter, perhaps. But it quickly fades away as Ignis brings up his next point, and she nods in agreement quickly. ]
Agreed. I do not think that it will be a hard task, though, as kind as everyone has been. It may take a little nudging on Noctis's behalf, but I believe between the two of us we can do it.
no subject
[He agrees that Izunia should be punished for his role in what happened in Insomnia and for what the empire has done to Eos in the last thirty or so years, but he doesn't hold the bitterness that is obvious in the Oracle's tone. Whatever transpired between them is something that he'll have to look into before he talks to her again about the Niflheim croony.]
I believe that it might be easier here than back on Eos. No one will be looking at him and seeing his rank. He can be just Noctis.
no subject
Very true. I'm glad for that... he deserves to have somewhat of a normal life, even if it is in space.
no subject
I think he'd like that, but it remains to be seen how well that goes over with all of the people here. We'll just have to make sure that he keeps clear of certain influences, I suppose.
no subject
She can relate. ]
Of course. I am certain that between the two of us, we will be able to find allies for him. In the mean time, you should try to rest up as much as you can, Ignis. We can talk more about this particular subject in person.
