Recipe #001 - Arrival
Who: Ignis Scientia
Broadcast: Network Communication
Action: Aboard the Marvisa
When: On the evening of the 28th
[When he'd stepped aboard the ship in Caem, he'd known that he'd be leaving behind everything he'd ever known for the unknown, but this? Not what he had in mind. The others are nowhere around—something that set off all of the panic buttons in his brain—and he is mostly definitely not in a water craft.
The air is chilled, but there's no salty tang. He's warm and feels as if he's enveloped in a blanket. After a few moments of trying to get his bearings, he leaves what appears to be a bed in a...medical type room. A search of his person turns up his cellphone, his notebook, pen and... another communications device. He takes a few seconds to appraise it before opening to use the item.]
Hello. I'm not sure whom I'm addressing, but my name is Ignis Scientia. As I appear to be new to this place and there are others here as well, I would like to know where I am and what is going on.
[The look on his face says that if you waste his time, he will hang up on you.]
Also, if anyone knows the whereabouts of Prompto Argentum, Gladiolus Amicitia or Noctis Caelum, I would appreciate being told.

Is it now? What benefit do you gain being so close to his Majesty? Last time we met the boy was sulky like a moody teenager going through puberty. He needs to face up to reality and stop living like a little boy if he wants any chance of becoming king.
[That's it, Ardyn, press all of Ignis' buttons. Insult Noctis.]

When you saw him, he was grieving. I do believe that is a human trait that even kings are allowed to have. Anyone unwilling to extend common courtesy to a fellow being is less than dirt.
[Know your true place, hobo.]

[He can play ball, however you want it.]
There is no need for him to grieve now, is there? His beloved lady and princess is alive.

[He's not going to play with an unequipped rival. It would be pointless. What Ignis doesn't know about the Astrals rivals what he knows of being an actual human being. Something Ardyn is seriously lacking.]
I believe he still has to contend with his father, king, country and a trusted subordinate all dying senselessly.
[Ignis's eyes narrow at the mention of Lady Lunafreya. Noctis had said they needed to discuss things privately. This was, perhaps, one of those things. No wonder his friend had been so reluctant. What was Izunia playing at by telling him this now?]

[This guy knows all about it, since he was the one orchestrating the eventual downfall of Regis and Insomnia. He played his cards behind the scenes, acting the innocent spokesman of an Empire until he found his niche and struck. He offered Ignis a coy smile and adjusted his fedora.]
All that death. It would be a shame of our poor prince Noctis befit the same fate as his father.

I always find needless death a waste. And it's my duty to make sure that Noctis stays alive and well. I intend to fulfill that particular duty. Now, if you'll excuse me.
[And before Ardyn speaks, Ignis cuts the connection so he isn't forced to see that smug, arrogant face any more.]

Until next time, Ignis.
