he pulls cisco into a tight hug. denying his power, not learning control, it was a bad idea, clearly. but right now, there's nothing much he can do about it except try to be there for his friend. ]

We shouldn't make them stop. It's the one thing they can't control. I'm not sure they wanted us to know what happened to that wreckage. That's the second one we saw. There was the other one - in the woods, a couple of planets ago.

[ he splashes some of the water on his face, it's cool and refreshing, the vibe is slipping away. it's a memory now, vivid and terrible but not present. ]

Let's call Kara and Kitty and set it up. Tourist shuttles are pretty slow but they're well protected. Only issue is they only seat three, so if you know a better one we can borrow or we can get some more backup in a second shuttle -

Maybe she can shrink them. Not as cool a movie, but it's got parody potential.

[ it's good to see. he knows what he saw isn't gone and they're gonna have to figure out a solution for him to control it as well as deal with the aftereffects, but it's good that in the moment they can get back to work mode. ]

--- The ship looked like the Marsiva. The one from some planets ago did too. So the only theories is that someone is targeting the Atroma's ships or that they bring the ships down once they're bored.

You're wrong, those aren't the only theories. Look at how good they are, how they cover all their tracks - that's the kind of experience you gain with practice. Maybe earlier fleets knocked it out of the sky to break the augments influence. Maybe the Atroma's planting the similarities in our minds to keep us scared and in our place. Maybe it's something we can't even imagine because they have a direct link to our minds. There are a lot of theories, and not all of them are worst case scenarios.

There were people on the ship and they weren't the Atroma, they were people. Whoever knocked them into the water, that's the bad guy. They couldn't escape the fall.

[ they all died. some by drowning, others by being torn apart. ]

Direct line to our brains, Cisco. We don't know what's real yet, what's definitive. They're messing with our memories, our minds, our bodies, on a regular basis. We're just starting to investigate this, you know the multiverse better than most - in infinite possibilities what can be will be. Don't limit yourself to the one that scares you most, it's the easiest way to paralyze yourself.
