Hello there, friends! Ardyn Izunia here to honour you all with his presence. How is everyone adapting to their new ships and prisons, hm? The food is quite distasteful I have found. A pity our charming hosts couldn't have used their imagination a little more to whip up something more....delectable.

[Please feel free to ignore this guy's rambling over the network. He loves to talk. As for those already on the SS RED FISH....you'll know this guy by now.]

Now, down to more serious matters. I address you fine people on this network to ask some rather important questions.

[He adjusted his fedora and composed himself slightly.]

During my last scuffle with another crew member I realised that my powers were limited somewhat. In fact, I could not use them to my full potential at all. Also, I bled for the first time in years. This is not supposed to happen. At all.

Tell me, does anyone else have magical powers and if so, have yours been handicapped in anyway now that you're here aboard these ships? I am certain that or hosts are capping our powers so that we do not destroy each other or their fleet. If someone will enlighten me on this I will be very grateful. I may even reward you.

[Don't take too much notice of that. This guy is a liar and a good one at that.]

Another question and this is to our captors, our alien friends, or captains or whomever they might be.

What technology is being used to power these ships and how are new ships just created to quickly to accommodate new crew members? I find it astounding that such feats of engineering can be accomplished in such a short length of time. It's almost impossible.

I, myself, use a technology back home known as Magitek. Some of you out there might know what I am referring to.

[As in Luna, Noct and Ignis. You hate his Magitek soldiers, don't you?]

Kitchen:

[Those who might be wandering around on the SS RED FISH might find themselves in the kitchen area, where Ardyn is currently tasting all the different gels. His faces are dictating which he likes more and which he downright hates. Feel free to come and pester him at your will.]

Disgusting. I wouldn't feed this one to my dog. If I had one.

[Umbra. How could he forget?]

Engine Room:

[Now, this is a room that the Chancellor is interested in a lot. The engines. The power of the ship. The heart of the beast. Ardyn slid his hand along one of the humming walls and smiled. He could almost taste it's power. He was curious as to what drove the engines.]

Such technology. Who designed you, hm? I wonder how you'd fare up against my Magitek engines back home.

[Picking up a tool from the ground, he rolled it over in his hand a few times just thinking. If you happen upon him in the engine room he'd be in deep thought.]

Med/Science Lab:

Well now, what do we have here?

[Ardyn was enjoying his self-guided tour aboard the SS RED FISH and was now in the medical bay it seemed. This is where all the science and first aid happened. He sat on one of the beds and placed his arms behind his head, relaxing somewhat. If anyone walked in right now they'd find him sprawled out on one of the med beds like a king. How fitting...]

Actually, he attacked me first. Such an angry boy.

[He attacked Ardyn with good reason. He attacked his friends and killed his fiancée. Not to mention being responsible for the death of his father and countless others.]

Yes, he did. I shouldn't be able to bleed. I'm immortal. Yet, my powers have been weakened and this causes great worry to me. Have you tried healing anyone here? I am wondering if your skills as Oracle might have been compromised too.

[ She doesn't reply to that first bit. It isn't her place -- Noctis is free to do as he chooses, after all. ]

My skills as Oracle only pertain to the Starscourge, you should know that, Chancellor. And since there is no scourge here, I've no idea if my powers have been limited or not. But it makes sense that those more powerful, such as yourself, would have some of their powers weakened.

[ She smiles faintly, and almost looks amused. ]

Our captors are smart. People like you could bring so much destruction and death, and they clearly do not want that. Not yet, at least.

[He smiled at her words. Such intelligence mixed in with beauty. She was right though; he could have wrought so much damage and pain onto others if his powers were at full strength. Yet, so far he hadn't been inclined to think that way. Yet.]

Perhaps, our captors are frightened that certain crew members who wield powers could overthrow them. We might want to take the fleet and mould it into a fighting force. Who knows? The possibilities could be endless.

[He chuckled softly. He was treading dangerous waters but loved to be obnoxious and foreboding at times.]

Now, I am wondering if I can indeed die on these ships. If my body can receive a mortal wound. The injuries his Highness left on my body have healed up now but it took time. It was a most frightful time.

Frightened is not the word I would use. If they are able to contain such unimaginable power, that means that they are powerful indeed. Be careful of the things you speak over the devices, Chancellor.

[ That's the only warning he's going to get: if he wants to keep himself out of trouble, he'd best not be putting ideas into other people's heads. Or worse yet, have the Atroma seek vengeance... then again, if the Atroma takes it out on only Ardyn...

...No. She's never been that kind of person, and she isn't about to start. ]

Most likely you would be able to feel death's cold embrace. I can assure you, it is nothing like the stories tell. Do you fear death, Chancellor?

[Oh, he knew exactly what he was doing making this broadcast. He didn't get the job of communications officer for nothing. Ardyn planned his words and planned where he would say them too. Always one to think things over.]

Do not worry, my dear. I've never been afraid of aliens, daemons or any other mysterious or dark creature. You could say I've known daemons all my life.

[Since he was one.]

Do I fear death? An interesting question but the answer remains a firm no. Death has been trailing me all my life, hoping to capture me in it's net. My immortality has cursed me to never be able to feel the cold fingers of death constrict around my throat. You may even say that death my be a saviour to me after all these years of living in pain.

[Pain, mixed with anger, hatred and revenge. It's twisted him.]

What about you? How did it feel....to die?

It isn't that I'm worried, but you may bring trouble to not only yourself but your crewmates as well.

[ She hums, listening to his response carefully. She'd never figured him to be afraid of something so natural, but if his words were true, if he was immortal... than maybe death is something he'd been looking forward to. ]

Do you fear what will happen to you after death, though? Death had never frightened me as well. Perhaps when I was a little girl, but as I grew up it simply became something that was part of life. Part of my duty.

[ That's how she'd seen it, at least. But she's a reckless soul in the big scheme of things, willing to throw herself into the line of fire if it means getting her job done. Really, to die by Ardyn's hand had almost been an insult considering the events that took place in Insomnia.

Still, is question has her arching a brow, before closing her eyes. ]

It hurt. But after the pain was gone, it just felt lonely. Surely you know the saying -- regardless of who is surrounding you or what is happening, we are all born alone and we die alone.

Would I do such a thing when I am so new myself?

[Don't tempt him, Luna. The simple answer would be: yes.]

Hm, I have really delved into it before, but now you mention it, perhaps? Death is life's greatest mystery to us all. It is something to be feared but also respected. A life is something to be treasured, not thrown away on a whim.

[He was speaking in riddles once more. It was the only way he knew when it came down to complex things.]

The pain eases over time. Yet, I have become dull to it. Years of pain thrust into my heart like a cold knife. I suppose the only way to find out what is on the other side is to die and experience the coldness then step out of the abyss and rise above your own demise.

[Was he spouting bullshit? Perhaps. Yet, he was in deep conversation.]

Are you even truly afraid of anything?

[ Luna hums, trying to ignore his stupid riddles. She knows he enjoys hearing his own voice. ]

...As poetic as that was, Chancellor, not everyone looks forward to such an event. But not everyone is immortal, either.

Of course I am, yet I am loathed to admit true fear. Every man hides the feeling of fear deep inside of him to shield himself from those who might prey upon it. I suppose one of my main fears is not being able to gain revenge on those who smite me down. To die a man with broken dreams is not a man at all.

[Was he already broken? You could say so, yet Ardyn had fierce determination within him.]

That is quite true, my lady. You, of all, would know about such things.

I still cannot understand the frame of mind you have to have to think like that. Those who have wronged you have long passed. Noctis and the people of this era have done nothing to you.

[ His words hit hard, though, because it's true. Hearing them from the man who murdered her, though, is enough to ignite her temper. She doesn't let it show this time, though. ]

Indeed. I was not ready to die, not until I had seen Noctis again. But I suppose that is the difference between you and I. I dies, yes, but my dreams were not broken. Mine were still shining brightly and still are. Despite being murdered, I was satisfied to know that what little help I could do the world was appreciated, and that I played a hand, however small, in your inevitable defeat.

[He chuckled softly at her final words. They stung in a way. She seemed pleased of her part she played in his ultimate demise.]

You seemed pleased about my downfall, my lady. I must say I am wounded at your words. His Highness smiting me down with his last down stroke of his mighty sword aimed at my heart. Yet, I am still alive and his Highness has not killed me. I awaited the battle with baited breath back home before these foul beings brought us here. We're out of time and out of luck it seems.

[Was he annoyed that he was pulled from his fight? Of course he was. Yet, the Noctis that was brought here was out of Ardyn's timeline. The Noct he wanted to face was that of the one ten years out of the crystal.]

Forgive me for that, but it is the only way to bring peace and light back. But you are not afraid to die, and so I see no need to worry or mourn.

[ So long as her beloved escapes unscathed, that's all that really matters to her. ]

You will have your day in the sun, but that day is not today. Or tomorrow.

I am wondering when my "day in the sun" will ever be, now that we are out in the confines of space. Tell me, my lady, how are you finding the cold environment compared to back home?

[She was used to the warm rays of the Eos sun on her face.]

We will not be here forever. There will come a time when we are all forced to be returned home, I'm sure. As for the environment here, I'm finding that it is a little lackluster. But it could be far, far worse, so I've really no complaints. And yourself, Chancellor?

[ Look at how well they're getting along right now. It's almost as if they are best friends!!! ]

I can't help but agree with you on that description of our space home. It lacks character wouldn't you say? It needs something added to it but I'm not sure what.

[Pfft. Best friends. This guy is your murderer, Luna. Don't forget that now. His words come out like honey but they're actually venom.]

Do you truly believe we'll be allowed back to our homes?

Color, perhaps? Everything seems very... monotone.

[ Sarcasm, man. She's never going to be friends with you, sir. Ever. She dislikes you very much. She's just trying to get along with you to make Noctis's and Ignis's lives a little easier. ]

When our use has run out. Either that or we'll be killed, who knows?

[ Especially now that he is mortal -- they took it away for a reason, didn't they? ]

Indeed. Perhaps, we should find some paint somewhere and spruce it up a little.

[No Empire colours, he promises?]

That option will never come to fruition. I won't let it.

[He plans to finish his plan before dying himself. Preferably, he didn't want to die out here in space either. Eos was much more romantic.]

Something tells us our esteemed hosts would not appreciate that very much, Chancellor. But perhaps something a little less permanent, like... I don't know. Colorful posters?

[ Screw your Empire colors. If it were up to Luna it would all be bright yellows and white and pinks and blues... and maybe a little grey and black for Noctis's sake. But mostly bright. ]

But out here we have no real control over what happens. Who is to say we are not all sent to our demise when we are done being playthings?

[ She's not exactly worried about it, but his reaction is far too amusing to pass up. ]

Colourful posters could be a nice change. Perhaps, some to suit all our tastes, hm? Ones with flowers on or puppies for you, my lady?

[That's right; the thinks you love flowers and puppies because you'd be into cute stuff, right?]

I doubt that very much. Would you let these Atroma throw us away when they're done with us? A strong woman such as yourself who went up against all the Astrals might I add.

[Why yes, he is bringing that up again.]

We're stronger people than that, my lady. I am a stronger man than these pathetic excuse for men or whatever they might be.

Flowers and puppies... my, you know my tastes so well.

[ No, Ardyn. That is NOT what she'd like. Unless they were real flowers and puppies. Those are acceptable. But not the poster kind. ]

I will not be tossed aside like garbage, no. But do you not think that if they are able to take away immortality, they are doing so for a reason?

[ If you can bring stuff up, so can she, sir. ]

We shall see. We have no control over our destinies here, not that we did at home. If anyone had control, it was you... and even that control is slipping out of your hands, even there, hm?

See? It seems I know you better than you even know yourself.

[Really? He is so deluded so you'll have to forgive him on thinking he has a clue as to what you really like.]

There is no reason to rob a man of his abilities like this. I call it theft. They raped my body and took away what I valued most dear to myself.

[Overdramatic? It's his second name. He's just pissed that he can die now. That's right; Ardyn Izunia might be able to be killed.]

I can assure you, Lady Lunafreya, that control is not slipping from my hands. If anything, I hope to gain a new foothold within this space fleet and find these accursed Atroma and give them a piece of my mind.

That is not the wording I would have used, Chancellor, but it seems you are not the only one stripped of their power.

[ It's really hard not to roll her eyes right now... but she's good and doesn't, tapping into her more diplomatic self. ]
