[Cue Ochako setting the communicator up and bouncing back, waving like it's some kind of peppy vlog. Cheers, everyone!]

Back to space we go! I don't know about everybody else, but I'll be glad that I don't have to keep wringing my clothes out all the time.

Anyway! That's not the point of this! While we're here, I was thinking... we've got a lot of kids with special abilities around here now, don't we? Or even just kids who wanna get stronger. The fleet is mostly safe, but sometimes things happen, and... well! Everyone benefits when we know what we're doing, right? Right!

Okay, so for everybody who doesn't know him, my teacher, Aizawa-sensei, is here! He's kind of a recluse so you probably wouldn't think it but he's really strong, and his teaching skills are top-notch! Back home, he's my homeroom teacher at the best heroics school in the world! He knows what's what. I bet he could teach anyone.

I was thinking, wouldn't it be nice to have a school here? Not just for superpowers, though I think that sort of thing is important... but I've never been out of school this long in my life. I feel like I'm getting dumber by the day. And it could be fun! We could make a classroom on the Iskaulit, we could get books and put together a real class and- oh, uniforms! We could get uniforms if we wanted!

[Ochako starts off on the Starstruck, taking care of her various chores while she covers responses, but at some point she'll venture over to the Iskaulit, poking around some of the rooms - both existing and unclaimed - to scout out what space is free in the vicinity of the library. She's humming to herself some upbeat song, visibly and very obviously in a good mood.]

Well, blue fur and a tail. Can't miss him unless someone else with blue fur and tail shows up. [Which honestly doesn't even sound far fetched to her considering Beast was here before. No tail, but close, right? And there were two Kurts for awhile.]

Is it common back home? Not being able to pass as human?

Not pass as... huh? I mean, they're all still human, of course. Everybody knows that.

You call yourself human? Right. I don't call myself that anymore. [So in her mind she only passes as human.]

What do you call yourself, then?

A mutant. That's what we were called.

[willynilly]

Mutant...

[Nngh. Not sure she likes the sound of that.]

Are you okay with a name like that?

[passingthrough]

Yeah. I mean, I didn't get a ton of choice in it at first, but they do have some worse versions of it. But I'm not going to be ashamed of what I am.

...Oh! So you're, like, reclaiming it for good! My friend did that with his codename.

[passingthrough]

That's right. What's his codename?

[willynilly]

It's Deku. He said Bakugou always called him that to tell him he's worthless, but... now, to him, it means to never give up!

[And she's proud of that, her tone making that obvious- proud of him, for seizing hold of it, and of herself that she got to be a part of the change. She doesn't regret it at all.]

Bakugou sounds like a jerk.

He, um. He can be, yeah.

[To, like, everyone ever.]

I don't like how he bullies Deku, and he's always yelling... but he's incredibly strong. I admire him for that, at least.

Strong like he can pick up a boat or strong like he's been through a lot of sh...bad stuff? [She really just censored herself for you. She's not sure why either.]

Um... well, I don't know about the last bit. And I don't think he can pick up boats. But is Quirk is really, really powerful! He can create explosions out of his sweat.

Sweat? I hope they don't happen whether he wants them to or not. [Especially if they live somewhere that gets hot.]

I'm pretty sure he has to activate it himself, but... Quirks can be kind of hard to get the hang of when they show up, so I'm sure his parents had a rough time for a while. He's really, um... his temper is about as explosive as his power.

[She nods. It could be different, but mutations could be tricky too. She's fallen through things unexpectedly before.] That would make it hard.

So what do you call things that used to be called quirks before powers became quirks?

[willynilly]

Mm... I dunno? There're still quirk-quirks and power-quirks... it's different...

[She tilts her head thoughtfully, pondering it a moment, then it clicks.]

Maybe it's a language thing? In Japanese, we have different words for them.

That would do it. Maybe I should switch over to Japanese. [She can speak that too, but these places have their own ways of translating sometimes.]

Oh, you know how?

[passingthrough]

Yes. [She says it in Japanese.] I speak a few languages.

[willynilly]

[Ochako blinks, squinting at her for a moment, then gently slaps her cheeks.]

Whoooaaa, that sounds weird! Like- I know it's different from what you were using before, I can tell, but it's still- ahhh, this translator thing is so strange!

Tell me about it. Makes it hard to try to learn new languages here. Back in the prison we could just take our headsets off.
