[002 🐚 video]

Who: Jeyne Westerling
Broadcast: Fleetwide
Action: N/A
When: 4/4

[Jeyne doesn't often get angry, especially not over something so ridiculous and petty. Sadly for her, even at her most furious, she could never appear as fearsome as she feels. She holds up one of the letters that she received, as many others had. Her eyes darkened and heated.]

Am I so inconsequential that my life is being confused with another's? How is it the audience assumes I have visited a place that I have never been or that I am wed to someone that I have never been betrothed to? I don't know who this "Jeyne, wife of Ramsay Snow" is, but she is certainly not me!

[Again, she is questioning herself why she should be angry? Did it matter if the audience didn't know her?]

I do exist outside of my marriage or whichever man comes into my life. Theon Greyjoy and Robb Stark are not the whole of my identity!

I know words can hurt. A lot.

[ he tries to pretend he's past it but they hurt him too. the rumors going around that he can't code, he outsources his sewing, he autotunes his singing, they all play on his self esteem which has gotten much better - but is still far from perfect. the one about kitty being his gay beard hits a whole other set of nerves. the one about him being a technopath is pretty cool, though, he'd love to have that superpower. ]

But they don't change who you are and they don't change what's true. The people who matter will listen to your truth, not gossip.

[ he hakes his head. ]

You should be troubled, everyone should be troubled about that. My world's not perfect about equality, but it's people being troubled about it that makes things better.

Even superpower, sometimes. Before I changed careers, I worked for one of the most influential women in my country.

[ he would argue he still does, but the're being a little more careful with kara's secret now, and he's being a little careful with who he mentions the deo to, as well. ]

And our president - that's our leader - is a woman. She's pretty cool. And we elect our leader, meaning the people chose her for the job, over men.

[ he nods, he tried his best to tell margaery that every day. ]

It's called a democracy - the notion that everyone deserves a voice in how their country's being run. Basically, we believe our leaders should represent the people, so every four years we elect the person the people feel most closely embodies their values. And to avoid anyone getting too comfortable in the seat of power and forgetting who they're supposed to be working for - no one can lead more than 8 years. It's not a perfect system, but we like it.

Well, yeah, but they should be argued. Things are complex.
