ℇntry ⒈

Who: Jusis and You
Broadcast: Video
Action: On the Marvisa
When: May 1

Video

[Right, Jusis may not be too familiar with this technology, but it's worth a try to see if his 'captors' are watching, or maybe just guarding him somewhere. Just a hunch he has considering he's in a place he's never seen before. This is not a fun game to play and he sure as hell was in his manor before this happened.

So he stands up taut, confident as he calls out:]

To whoever brought me here,

I believe you have kidnapped the wrong person. If it is a ransom you seek, rest assured that you will not receive it. Bareahard can not be without me right now and I demand that you return me at once.

[Sounds like a typical thing a snobby noble would say. People actually paying close attention probably noticed he has the confidence in a leader as well as a look that clearly shows he's not backing down or bluffing.]

Action

[And he's not going to stand around either. He'll be looking around the ship. He's not sure how he feels about the automation of this place -- it feels lonely, something Jusis is all too familiar with in his manor. Since he can't exactly sit down and work, he's looking out the windows, wondering why it's so dark. Space? Bah. What a childish thing to think.

At the very least he'll be hunting down a halfway decent meal and hopefully tea. He won't go for coffee. At all. Either way, he seems comfortable sitting by himself in the cafeteria and eating his food.]

Thanks. [ She takes a seat, gently cradling the mug of coffee in both hands. This guy's certainly a lot more formal than she would've guessed, but company is company. She'll take it over being alone. ] I'm Iris, by the way.

This place is pretty weird, but then again, so is being kidnapped. [ She wrinkles her nose at what she's about to say - ] And you know, being on reality TV.

Likewise, Jusis.

[ The name doesn't ring a bell, though she tilts her head at its unfamiliarity. ]

Really? [ She blinks back genuine surprise as she takes a sip. ] I'd normally agree with you, but reality TV - in my universe, anyway - likes taking all sorts of people and seeing how they get along. Or, you know, don't.

[ She nods, unable to fight the smile on her face. Honestly, Iris might've watched one too many hours of trashy reality TV back home. (It made great background noise! Or so she would protest, if she were actually pressed on the issue.) ]

It's all about the way they treat each other - and I'm guessing, how the story's told wherever people are watching this. You want to see these people grow closer together, or I guess hate each other if that's how it ends. It becomes an investment, like um, how readers become invested in their novels and comic books.

I tried looking for cameras earlier, by the way, but I couldn't find them anywhere. [ she sighs. ] So I'm not sure how people are watching us.

Supposedly, yeah. It all depends on editors and whoever's looking over the footage. If that even exists to begin with.

[ Iris has a nagging feeling that something's off, though she can't quite pinpoint what. Perhaps it's the lack of cameras, or the inhuman cleanliness of the whole ship - but it doesn't feel like it could ever be a new home, let alone a place she'd like to visit. ]

Hm. [ His world must be either in the past, or perhaps another universe altogether. ] What was your homeland like?
