Who: Ladon Ceto and you~
Broadcast: Fleet-wide audio
Action: Marsiva
When: 3/20
[ There's a long suffering sigh. After a moment, a few clicks of a lighter and what sounds like an inhale. Ladon's just woken up in a strange place and while that's certainly not the oddest thing that has happened to him, it's still a bit on the unsettling side. And that sure as hell calls for a smoke. ]
S'better than fallin' outta the fuckin' rift again, I guess.
[ His head's fuzzy. How long ago had that been? Years, it seems. But at the same time, he can't remember much in between. There was Sacrosanct and now there's... this. But he's older, he can feel it deep down. ]
Gonna guess this ain't connected to the station's network, seein' as my wearable don't work. No crazy blue dames runnin' this joint, I'm hopin'?
Action:
[ For anyone wandering about the Hospitality Deck, Ladon can be found in the viewing bay, staring out into the void of space and smoking what isn't his first and likely not his last cigarette. He's bundled up in his long, wool coat and is wearing his signature hat regardless of the temperature inside the Deck. The look on his face is something akin to resignation. Gone is the alarm he once felt for waking up in a strange place and being surrounded by blinking lights and smooth metal surfaces. Not that he doesn't hate it any more than he did before, but at least he'd gotten comfortable on Sacrosanct... Or as comfortable as one could get there.
Now he had to start all over, and that was just about as ridiculous as being stuck in space yet again. ]

[ There is very little use for a mobster in space, even one with his... quirks. ]
Far as givin' us free reign, how d'you mean? Gotta obey some kinda rules otherwise?
Re: [ Audio ]
Depends on the planet. Right now we're orbiting around one where all the inhabitants believe they are in some sort of stagnant medieval world, with no knowledge of space travel or other species. Whoever runs this planet makes sure they don't find out.
Oh, and we have subdermal implants on the back of our necks, that give us certain abilities and track our movements. Attempting to remove them results in debilitating pain.
[ Audio ]
Thanks for the warnin'. [ Definitely no dragon form happening there. ] Might give it a look, even if just t'walk on some solid ground 'gain, yeah?
[ There's a pause as he reaches to feel around on the back of his neck. He swears under his breath. ] So runnin' off on one of the planets ain't gonna work out so good, I'm guessin'.
[ Audio ]
[Not right now at least. You can bet she's going to try to get away the first promising opportunity she has.]
[ Audio ]
Gonna guess this's got somethin' to do with my piece goin' missin', too.
[ Audio ]
As for your "piece," they take everything but the clothes on our backs when we get here.
[ Audio ]
Swell. So if we get attacked by somethin' we're outta luck. [ How many times had he defended himself in Sacrosanct? Hypatia was a nutcase but at least she let him keep his guns, considering how unsafe that station had been. ]
Re: [ Audio ]
But, no, we're not totally unprotected. If your ship has a security officer onboard, you should have an armory. And I know some people have been buying weapons on the planet below: swords and bows and arrows and the like.
[ Audio ]
Rather not go bringin' a sword to a gun fight.
[ Audio ]
No, I don't suppose you would. Not all planets we visit are like this one, though. Thank goodness.

[ He can totally run a bar out of a space ship, right? ]

[ He sighs, in a way that is genuinely sad instead of frustrated. ] No point in holdin' my breath, seein' if she shows up here. Better off on her own turf anyhow.
[ Even if she doesn't remember him, or the bar, or anything else from the station. At least she's home. ]
[ Audio ]
But I think a bar would be a good idea, if your captain didn't mind of course. It'd be a good place for people in the fleet to meet and relax.
