Who: The intrepid crew of the SS Paisley!
Broadcast: anything could happen, I guess?
Action: Anywhere on the ship
When: From the shuffle through the end of the month
[ Well the ship could only stay empty but for her captain for so long. And I'm sure the audience is just DYING to know what happens when these older folks show up and find their ship is captained by a 17-year-old with an attitude problem.
Let the games begin... ]

Congrats, you get a sleepy but increasingly alert angel with a bit of a rat's nest in her hair, wearing only a sports bra up top. ]
Yeah, need me?

Mind if I hitch a ride down planetside? Need some fresh air and a bit 'o work.
no subject
Yeah, sure, gimme a minute to warm 'er up.
[ She waves him in, yawning but clearly waking up quickly, and turns to get back to the console. Her arms and torso have assorted minor scars here and there, as you'd expect from anyone who's trained in combat with sharp (or blunt, honestly) objects. Or gotten in lots of fights. What isn't so normal are the pretty intense mirrored scars that run down her back from her shoulders to about her mid-back. They've still got a bit of that "happened in the last few years" pink tint do them, even if they're clearly not fresh.
Tay grabs her shirt as she passes it and yanks it on before she sits down. ]
I need'ta get these things upgraded. 'pparently they get more roomy, might be able to drag my mattress in here instead'a sleeping in the seats.

You oughtta take the blankets and pillows from the extra beds.

[ She flips switches and presses buttons and has a brief moment of gratefulness for the augment she was given. Okay, she'll thank God for it even. Security might've been better for the guns, but that's worth shit if you can't get to where you need to be.
Anyway, it gives her a lot of the freedom her car does back home. She may not be able to fly away from the Fleet, but she can go where she wants within that range. ]
Is it mornin' or afternoon, anyway?

[you're the captain, tay]
Afternoon.
[joel is inspecting the inside of this shuttle. it's so fucking weird to know this.]

[ Yeah she's the captain. In charge of making sure they've all got what they need. So there. ]
Hmmph.
[ Well, that was more sleep than she meant to get.
Inspect away. It looks like he's probably expecting it to look (thank you augment?) aside from the blanket on one seat. She hasn't had a chance to settle in yet, don't worry it'll start to look more like a bedroom soon. ]
There's a guy in town keeps tryin' to find the ghosts he swears are haunting his vegetable garden. Can probably get a few bucks off him easy, for what it's worth.

[read: i will definitely get the money off of him.]

[ read: good, if he's gonna be a superstitious idiot we might as well profit, right? ]
Training yard's got some decent guys to have a spar with. Fists or blades, mostly, but they're not half bad.

[if you can i want to]

[ She points to her broken nose with a grin ]
Got this off a guy from the fleet. Hell of a fighter, think we both ended up concussed by the end of the fight.
no subject
Please tell me you set that.
[his lighter tone of voice says he's respectful (proud???) of her for kicking ass, though.]
no subject
You'll just have to guess.
She kinda is]'Course I did.
[ a little inexpertly, because she's more used to having cousins do it with no little roughness, but she did her best and it'll only be a little crooked. ]

Happens again, you let me know. I've got some... experience in that.
[and it also won't be healing you with glowy magic like the evil elves on our ship]
no subject
[ she doesn't really sound insulted or even like she's saying no, she just feels like she should protest that she can handle herself before allowing him to help ]
no subject
[he gets it. that defensiveness is what he can see as the child in her.]
no subject
Yeah, fair enough. ...Thanks.
