Who: Yuri
Broadcast: Network- unfiltered.
Action: The Marsiva
When: Now.
[A video begins and it's a regular guy, a bit nervous. He swallows before speaking.]
So, hey everyone. My name is Yuri Katsuki. Ah... I was never very good at this sort of thing. Instagram and all that. Anyway, I'm new here. I was wondering... does anyone know what this place is about? Why am I here? Why is anyone here and what is this thing in my neck abou.... oh.
[He reaches back to touch the back of his neck and his eyes widen with fear. It seemd to overtake him for a moment as he looks on horrified.] Oh god.... no no can't touch it. Don't want to touch that ever again... geez. That was scary.
[He takes a breath.] Okay but ah... wow I just said all that online didn't I? A-anyway. I'm Yuri and I was wondering if anyone could tell me about this place? I am from Japan and I suddenly arrived here. Everything is automated and there's space outside the window... what happened to Victor? I just saw him and Yurio, are they here? Is this some sort of game? A reality show? I know I have fans but come on, I just won the silver, I was getting my career back on track. This is over the top yeah?

For a moment, though, he just lets himself enjoy the sight of Yuri's face and the knowledge that he's not alone any more (even if he wasn't really, not with the nice people in the Fleet, just that it's different when it's Yuri.]
[He switches on his own video to reply.]
Yuri~ [And all that is in his face is a smile, no real hint of the drastic and clashing emotions he's experiencing.]
I'm here. I'm on a different ship. You won't be able to leave The Marsiva yet to see me, but I can explain as much as I've learned since I arrive. That wasn't that long ago.
[Now some of the concern shows through, the corners of his mouth downturn in a slight frown.] Oh but there was a bit of a scene involving The Marsiva recently, wasn't there? Are you safe?
no subject
but Victor seemed happy, he was his normal self really... how could that be? They were IN SPACE. What the hell was this, did he miss the memo? Was this some part of a contract he signed? How could Victor say his name so easily... though it helped to calm him.]
A different ship? Can't I get to you? Can you come here? Victor what's happening? How are you calm about this? Where did we go? Why??
Uh...[He looked around and things looked pretty normal] I think it's fine? I just woke up, there's nothing... well I wouldn't know if things were changed or not, Victor. But tell me you're okay. What ship are you on? How do I get to you when I get out of here?
no subject
I'm on a ship called the Heron. The Marsiva, the ship that you are on, acts a bit like a waiting room for new contestants. When I first arrived I spent some time there before they assigned me to the Heron. Everyone told me this would happen and that once I was assigned a ship, I would be able to freely move among the Fleet except for The Marsiva, because there's no real way to get back into it.
They warned me, that if you arrived, I'd have to wait until you were assigned a ship before I could see you, but we could talk over this network.
[Did Victor just imply that he's talked to other people about Yuri? Why, yes, and it should surprise no one really.]
I'm so glad you reached out so quickly! I would hate for you to be on The Marsiva and for me not to know it...
no subject
The Heron... okay. So I'm stuck here? I can't get to you? Victor... how long were you here? What is the Heron like? [He hates that he can't get to Victor. He wants to get to him, to be comforted by his presence and to comfort him. Victor was all alone-- wait. What he'd said... 'they'.]
They? Who are 'they'?
Victor, you know I'd look for you. I just SAW you. We were just together in St. Petersburg. How can you have been here longer than me?
no subject
From what I can tell, this is a reality show. Which means fans Yuri, and we should try to be our best for our fans.
[Hopefully that explains why he's acting so calm and comfortable. Others might question him and his methods for coping, but Yuri has seen him interact with fans before. He's always as charming as can be with fans.]
I've been here for less than a month. The Heron is nice enough. The people on it do a good job of making you feel welcome, but that's true for most of the contestants I've met. That's who I meant by 'they' the other contestants who helped me adjust.
[He thinks that covers all of the questions except for the last one. His face softens a bit.]
You're the last thing I remember from home too, Yuri. You and I were walking back home from practice. I even still have by gym bag with my skates and everything. From what I understand, though, time... Time works differently here.
It's all pretty confusing, but you're here now, so things already feel better.
no subject
I see. That's good that they're nice to you. Who else is here, where did Yurio end up?
A month though?? I JUST saw you, Victor, you just waved at me as I arrived in Russia. I have my gym bag too. My skates and everything in my backpack... how can we have been so far apart in time here?
But you're right. We're together now or we will be when I can out of here and onto the Heron.
no subject
Oh! Yuri, we both have our skates! If we could find a place to do it, we could practice while we are here. Isn't that wonderful?
[He might be focusing on that in an effort to encourage whoever is watching to push for a place for them to skate.]
As soon as they assign you to a ship, let me know. I'll come find you.
video
[With Yuri's very Japanese name and the fact that he mentioned he's from Japan, Chuuya's sure Yuri knows exactly what he means.]
Where in Japan are you from?
I started a new post with him with his ship assignment if you want action.
I'm from Hasetsu. Where are you from?
excellent ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
[He puts a hand on his hat.]
Nakahara Chuuya. I'm from Yokohama.
no subject
Yokohama? I've been there once. It's beautiful at night, especially the ferris wheel!
no subject
Isn't it? It's good that you're familiar with it. One thing you'll learn soon enough is that everyone's version of the world is different. For example, the Japan you know may be different from another person's Japan. Freaky stuff, right?
no subject
Yeah? I... well that sounds terrifying but okay. I'll take your word for it.
Yeah, and the rollercoaster that goes into the fountain! It's so scary! Have you ridden it?

voice;
[Says an unfamiliar voice. Hello there.]
And don't worry - only the others in the Fleet and whoever it is that is watching our show heard you. [So, all of the universe.]
no subject
He will? Victor is here? You've seen him? Please, where is he? Is he alright? He... asked about me?
... So... so everyone saw that... so it's just out there. Well, that's the internet I guess. If this is the internet. I mean I have no idea anymore. It works like the internet...
Oh gosh. Excuse me. Hello, what's your name? Thank you for replying!
no subject
And I don't know what the "internet" is, but if it is like these communication devices, then don't worry. People have done much more embarrassing things on here.
[As for his name? HAHAHA TIME TO LIE AGAIN.] My name is Soujirou. It's nice to finally meet the famous Katsuki Yuri-kun.
no subject
[He still sighs in relief when he hears Victor is safe]
Where is this place, who brought us here? Is anybody FROM here?
Well... I've been caught doing some pretty embarrassing things too...
Soujirou... okay. Good to meet youuuu-famous? Oh, I'm just a dime-a-dozen figure skater. I'm nothing special. Victor is something special. [Did Soujiro say he didn't know what internet was?]

If you're on the Marsiva now, I'm afraid you'll have to wait until the Atroma shuffle you onto a Fleet ship. From there, you can learn to use the shuttles to go back and forth between ships.
[He does sound apologetic about that at least. He knows how terrible it is to be separated from the people important to you.]
As for where we are? Currently we're at an asteroid belt and it's the Atroma who brought us here. Unfortunately, we don't know much about them other than their name. And for the people you meet on the ships? No, none of us are from here. The people on the planets and waystations we visit, however, are usually indigenous to this...place.
[He can't really say "world" when it encompasses an entire universe, can he?]
But! According to Victor-san, you are quite special indeed. He spoke very highly of you. Although I didn't really understand most of it as "ice skating" is quite foreign to me.
no subject
Am I stuck here? Can someone come here? Could I reach Victor? Or... could I at least send someone out to him? I just need to know he's okay... he's safe but... I could call him. I'll do that.
An asteroid belt? Wh-- why? How? I... should I stop asking that? What is... I've never been in space before. Have you? How are we out here? What is this show about? We're on TV for someone? Is this some kind of joke? If there are people who are from here who live in the waystations... are they the ones watching this? Are they the Atroma?
Sorry, you don't have to answer all that.
[He brightened at the mention of Victor.]
He talked about me? oh... Victor...[He runs his finger along his ring] He's my... we're... he's... very close to me. Huh? Ice skating? Oh, it's a sport we compete in. Well, he took a year off to coach me but we're both competing next season. It's amazing. It's like dance but it's on the ice and you balance on the edge of knives to cut through the ice and you jump and twist and depending on how clean your footwork and your jumps are you get points. More points are awarded to people with more complex difficult shows and more points are awarded to clean footwork and landings. So you want to do the most complicated clean show you can.
If we can find a place to skate I'll show you.

[Ardyn is very good at being secretive when he wants to be and is also very good at being an asshole when he wants to be too.]
You're in space, if you hadn't already gathered that much. As for our arrival here it's all a bit of a mystery. We're crew mates in a reality television show run by the Atroma.
He's also good at being a dumpster king but nobody's asking me >.>
[He pauses though, at the mention of Victor. This guy was... Yuri wasn't sure about him.]
What do you know about Victor?
Re: He's the dumpster king of the fleet
[He's not much help here, sorry.]
I know of him. A handsome Russian, who can skate quite well I believe.
Oh, Ardyn you old old meanie
I keep thinking this will all be a dream or it will start making sense.
Do you know where Victor is??
Re: He's old, mean and bad ass
[No waking up from this one anytime soon.]
I can't answer that, as I do not know where our esteemed skater is at this precise moment.
[That's means no, sorry Yuri.]
He's fancy and well spoken and has a nice ride tho
...thanks... for taking the time to talk to me.
And thanks anyway. I will find him, maybe I can use this device and call him somehow. These work like phones, right?
