He'd only just been home, having a delicious meal, knowing his life, his Tribe faced an uncertain future. And now he's...on the Blue Fish. The name comes back to him with the low hum of the engine. Well, at least he knew what he was getting here, mostly.

He'll be getting up and exploring around, please feed him. He had the BEST food memory-dream.

And later, once he's learned a little more from his crew of the events he's missed, he turns on the network.]

So apparently, Atroma decided to let me sleep though us finally getting any kind of answers. Because that's funny. I'm laughing. I need details, guys, anything you can give me that you found out. Doesn't matter if I've heard it before, different perspectives are important.

Hello! I'm new here and I was wondering... People have told me that sometimes this place puts you to sleep and when you wake up you have new memories from home.

Is that what happened to you?

I guess? It just feels like going to regular sleep. Except you don't wake up when you normally would. I was out for around two weeks or so this time.

But while you were sleep you also went back home?

I did. Both times. I wasn't gone long this time, but last time it was a couple years. My body aged and everything.

But.... how? How do you know it wasn't just a dream?

I don't, honestly, and that's what worries me. We think people go home when they leave here because stuff like this happens. And sure, if someone we know comes here, what we see matches up with what they've experienced- so maybe they're just downloading our memories or something? I dunno.

Now that's a pretty troubling thought.

It's something I've considered, yeah. I don't think we can dismiss any possibility. Not when Atroma is all smoke and mirrors anyway.

Then... everything that you experienced would be an illusion? If that's possible, how do we know that this isn't an illusion as well?

It very well could be. I mean- the ships here don't make sense, that's something that worries me a little. Like, once I took some panelling off, there's wires that don't make sense, nothing seems to be connected right. Like our ships probably shouldn't be functioning.

How do you mean?

It's hard to explain, I think a part of it is due to my augment, but nothing seems to be connected right. Like...wires go nowhere, or they just vanish off into something else and it's really hard to track where they come back out of again. It's like...well fake.

Don't they assign people to work on the ships? How can they do that if nothing is real?

Tell me about it. I don't know, maybe it is real, or maybe they watch our actions and make the ships respond like they should. The problem is, there's too many variables and not enough solid answers. It's all smoke and shadow, and I hate that.

Now that sounds like television. Working with an audience is always a certain level of illusion.

I'll take your word for it. Honestly, before I came here, I didn't even know what television was.

Are you from a time before it was invented?

Kind of? My world doesn't have anything like that, and I met someone from the future and I'm pretty sure she didn't have it either? Our world is pretty low-key with technology, really. Especially in my time. We've only just started utilising steam.

Oh... Is your world Earth or something else? I've met some people who are from different planets and others who are from Earth but in the past.

Not Earth. It's just...the world. It doesn't really have a name.

Hm. You have the Water Tribe- North and South, the Fire Nation, the Earth Kingdom and...well, we did have the Air Nomads, but they uh- The Fire Nation wiped them out.
