"Yeah. Either one works." She considers. "You've got your classy bar, your whiskey and sawdust kind of bar. Uh.. there's a gym and an interfaith centre, a cafe that just opened. I don't know what else. It's worth looking around."

He licked at his lips, mouth suddenly feeling dry. He'd thought they were all scattered to the four winds not... whatever this other ship was offering. Like a damn town or something.

"Who runs it?"

[namisan]

To be fair, most of the time the other ship is like a ghost town. There's around a hundred passengers and the most you generally see on the Iskaulit at any one time is less than half that. Usually in the bars. (Oddly enough, everyone likes to drink when they're captives.) And the amount of just plain empty rooms on there is ridiculous. Still.

"The bar or the entire ship?" Dryly. Nami shakes her head. "It's a communal ship, so nobody really runs it. I run the whiskey and sawdust bar. A guy called Crowley runs the classy one. The ship...I don't know. It's caught up in our flight pattern, so nobody's actually piloting it."

"There's no captain? No crew?" Just what? A derelict they all decided to start using?

"No. Way I hear it, it was a ship that belonged to another group that was abandoned and got caught up in our flight pattern." She remembers hearing the story behind the Iskaulit, but it had been here long before she arrived.

"To be honest, you'd be better off asking someone who's been here longer. Or someone who's more familiar with space. I don't come from a world where space travel is even heard of yet. The most important part is, though, it's not an Atroma ship."

He crossed his arms, processing that. Came from a world where space travel wasn't even heard of? Weird. And not an Atroma ship?

"So you saying they can't monitor us over there?"

[namisan]

"I'm saying it's less likely." She's a realist. "It's not made to their specifications, they can't alter things on it at a press of a button. What's on there is ours to deal with as we see fit.

"Of course, it's entirely possible they just want us to think that, but you know." That's why she says less likely.
