[Video] [From the Marivisa] [Public to the Fleet]

[The first angle you see of the phone screen is, strangely enough, looking up at one of the ceilings of the Marivisa. Out of the corner of the screen, you can the edge of a shelf, or perhaps a desk. Slowly peering over the edge, you can see a small, Baroque style clock.

Which has eyes. And a mouth. And it's two hands twitch on the side of his small mechanical face like whiskers. You cannot believe you can make this out, but yes, it does in fact look like the clock is scowling downwards.

Then sighing. Rather dramatically, at that. Then the clock disappears. There is the sound of wood scuffling across metal, then a 'Careful Cogsworth, careful waaaugh!', and the sound of a crash as something wooden slips off of something plastic and then down to something hard. Like the metal floor.

After a moment, the phone is tilted back up into the clock's face, and it growls at all of you in an impossibly posh British accent.]

I don't know where I am. I don't know where this is. I don't know what is happening. But whatever It is? It is somehow Lumiere's fault!

Hrmph. Well. If he just arrived then I suppose he cannot be blamed for EVERYTHING. Although I still suspect involvement in dragging ME here.

[Huffy breath, before the clock sucked in a breath, and bowed before the phone.]

Apologies, all apologies. Cosgworth, Steward of Prince Adam's Castle. So good to make your accquaintence, Monsieur -- ?

Arthur Kirkland, or England if you would prefer.

[Gives him a polite nod since they can't exactly shake hands through the camera. Well, so to speak.]

I have noticed a pattern of acquaintances and relatives of those already here occasionally being drawn along. Thankfully it hasn't happened to me yet.

A pleasure to meet you, Monsieur Kirkland - or ... Monsieur England.

[Well that was a bit of an odd name, he must say. Then he slapped his little wooden hands together.]

SEE? I knew it! I knew he wished me here!

England is fine. There's no need to be formal about it.

[Because he's going to start twitching if he gets called Monsieur anything by too many people. Bah.]

You'll have to take that up with him then. Though it could be more our hosts' sense of humor.

Ah, very good ... England.

[Yes that was still an odd name. Hm.]

Ohhohohoho don't you fret, England! I will take it up with him. I will take it up with Right In His Waxy Big Nose.

[Will not snicker at him. It'd be rude. But oh it's tempting.]

I'm sure you will.

[Huff. Huff. And breath, and Calm. Dignity once more.]

So would you be so kind as to tell me where precisely I am, right now, on this ... Space Ship?

Well, if you just arrived, you'll be on the Marivisa. She's a separate ship than the rest of us. The mothership, as it were. If there's a crew aboard, they don't speak to any of us.

Sooner or later you'll be assigned and moved onto one of the smaller ships. If you're by a window, I'm sure you'll be able to see them. You can request specific transfers later, but they don't always honored, from the sounds of things.

The ... mothership. Delightful. Is Mother at home so I might speak to her about her appalling manners?

[A quiet grumble, before he sighed and looked at the window.] They look pike weird toys from here.

Unfortunately, she's not as lively as you are. But the rest of the fleet is pulled along in her wake.

Well, if she's not as lively as I am then it should be fairly easy to charm her, yes? At least to get off this bloody thing.

If she were alive. But she's not an enchanted human like you are.

[Assumes he is at least. Since his candlestick friend is.]

Well very Few people are enchanted humans like I am -- and they should be grateful because it is a Living Nightmare. Have you ever had to dust yourself? Humiliating!

[Note he dusts himself like twenty times a day. So. Yeah.]

No... I can't say that I have. I suppose, even if I held still long enough, the London rain would rinse most of that off.

Aaaaah, yes. The yellow fog and downpours of London cleanse away just about anything. Including breathing. [A long, heartfelt sigh.] I miss it so.

[Laughs.]

It's not quite so bad by my time. There are more people, but we've stopped using coal.

Well that is encouraging ... I suppose I won't get to see it again for a very long time, but to even speak of it is to feel like I am home again.

You'd be welcome to come visit over tea, if you'd like. I'm sure I could get you properly caught up on the goings on.

If you don't mind a few stuffed toys about. I'm afraid they went a little overboard on the sponsor drop they sent me for St. George's, and I haven't been able to get rid of them all yet.

I shall be delighted! Well I cannot have some tea but conversing should be delightful. Not to mention understanding all what has gone on Uhm. I ...shouldn't. Unless they stare at me with cold, dead eyes the entire time.

Oh, no worries about that. They're quite friendly looking.

We'll have to figure out a time once you've been released from the Marivisia.

Oh are they? Good. I was.... rather worried.

[He sighed dramatically.] If I ever am. We may be here Forever.

[Chuckles.]

You'll be assigned to a ship eventually. We aren't much use as entertainment locked up alone, are we?

I ended up on a ship quite full of elves.

No I suppose not. Although I am not sure why I am entertaining at all.

[A pause.] Those beautiful creatures with the pointed ears?

Likewise. I can think of many better options for that among my peers. One Francis Bonnefoy, for one. It'd give me the double service of keeping him out of my hair as well.

[Nods his head.]

The very ones. I'm aboard the Huntress. They make for wonderful company.

Well if I ever see him -- I will discourage him highly in the Other Direction.

[Faint sniff. That fellow even sounded like trouble.]

I have only met the one - but he's a delightful fellow.
