004 [video/action]
Who: Ardyn Izunia and YOU
Broadcast: Fleetwide
Action: SS Red Fish [catch all]
When: Now
SS Red Fish:
Bathroom:
[Ardyn hadn't planned on having the feed being knocked on so others could see it but it seemed he wasn't in a very good mood right now. He was looking into the bathroom mirror staring at his face. His amber eyes reflecting back at him.]
Can I die here? Will you take my life away from me?
[He wasn't talking to himself, not really. He was talking to the Atroma.]
Once immortal due to a curse now you imprison me, causing me to become like a weak-minded fool. How can I end this suffering you bring to me?
[Ardyn gripped the wash basin within his fingers, tightening the grip, before looking up and smashing his fist into the mirror. Glass shot everywhere, whilst the Chancellor felt a slight pain in his knuckles where he struck the glass. There was blood too. He growled out in annoyance more than pain, as he then slammed a fire ball where the mirror used to be, causing it to singe the wall. He is angry. Fucked off.]
Bridge:
[If anyone aboard the Red Fish will notice, Ardyn is at his station at Communications just going about his job. He is quite good at it too. A man with a powerful voice, he now wants to address the fleet with a question or two. He swivelled around from his station and addressed the network.]
Has anyone ever died here and been brought back by the Atroma? I am just wondering how death is treated within this cold vacuum of space. Are our deaths just part of this show to gain viewing figures? Do we actually draw our last breath then get pulled back to the living or do we actually die and get sent back to where we came from?
Can someone enlighten me perhaps?
[He boosted the signal, so hopefully it would reach most within all ships.]
Kitchen:
[If anyone wanders into the kitchen they will find Ardyn making some tea; green tea in fact. He's gotten used to the space gel now and while he didn't like it, had gotten used to the fact he had to like it. There was nothing else. The Chancellor poured himself out a cup of the green, steaming liquid and sighed as he drank.]
Not bad. A pity we still don't have a chef but perhaps we will in due time. Now, all we need in this kitchen is some champagne and some red wine. Where is all the elegance?
[He adjusted his hat onto his head, whilst glancing into a cupboard or two to see if there were some red wine or champagne hidden away. Would the Atroma be so kind? Nope. It didn't seem so.]
Bunk:
[If anyone wanders into the bunk area of the Red Fish they will find Ardyn asleep. Very much asleep and......snoring. That's right. This guy is snoring like a train and he has no idea that his hand has just smacked the network feed on.
He's snoring over the network to any of you who can hear him. Oh dear. One exhausted Chancellor snoring. Good luck with that.]

video - bathroom
Oi. You cut that out.
no subject
I did not know this was turned on. Forgive me for making you watch this sad state of affairs.
no subject
It happens. Sometimes people get stuck in their head with that kinda stuff.
no subject
[He wasn't the kind of man to broadcast his inner most feelings of fear, anger, hatred and revenge. The man behind the coy remarks and sarcasm was actually one tormented by his own past. He wasn't even human anymore.]
Nightmares are awful things, don't you think?
[Guess what? He had one before going into the bathroom to splash water over his face.]
no subject
[He nods. Maybe it's not entirely appropriate, but they're not normal people after all. So with confidence, he offers Adryn a possible solution for his frustrations.]
Feel like releasing your frustration with that fight we talked about?
no subject
[Take that as a yes.]
The question is now: my ship or yours?
no subject
Wanna go to the Iskaulit Gym? I don't know about you, but I could use all the space I can get!
video>>action;
[He's never been aboard another ship and the Iskaulit sounded like a prime place to start a fight/spar.]
I quite agree, my boy. More space to allow ourselves freedom to move and breathe. I'll be there shortly.
[Ardyn made his way to the Red Fish's shuttle to hop aboard the Iskaulit. One short shuttle ride later and....]
Chuuya?
action
[Chuuya holds a hand out to Ardyn, gesturing for him to come closer.]
If it isn't Ardyn! Are you ready to see what I can do?
no subject
Ah, Chuuya! Good to see you again. Oh, I'd be delighted. Is there a room we can practice in?
no subject
[Also beneficial so that neither of them end up destroying their own ships... Especially since Chuuya had done a little of that recently, woops.]
It's pretty amusing, actually. The last time I was here, I met a young boy by the name of Takeshi, and I told him I had plans to fight you. To think that's what brings me back here!
no subject
[Maybe?]
Oh? It seems my name is being flashed about other ships like wildfire. Should I be flattered?
[He loves it. Really. This guy is all about show and his ego is over-inflated as it is.]
no subject
[Even if that "right" is for the wrong reasons, in his opinion. He starts walking towards the training room.]
This way!
no subject
What is your favourite? Fire? Ice? Lightning?
[Did he even have a favourite?]
no subject
[Chuuya laughs confidently.]
My favorite is that which surrounds us and everything we see. My favorite is what keeps us on the ground, brings things towards us, and a lack of it allows us to float in the air.
[Once in the training room, he stops and turns to Ardyn.]
Do you know what it is?
no subject
[Ardyn adjusted his fedora atop his head and shot a curious glance at Chuuya. What sort of abilities did the boy possess? How long had he been using them?]
My first thought at your words is gravity but am I wrong?
no subject
[Suddenly Chuuya is standing upside down on the ceiling, his hat still perfectly sat on his head along with the rest of his clothing still as if they were right-side up.]
Ardyn, are you ready to fight against gravity?
Video; - Bathroom
Um, perhaps that is not the best course of action, mon ami?. You should...probably get that taken care of. Fire and blood aren't exactly healthy for a person- especially the bleeding part.
no subject
[He focused his gaze on the network screen, which he now realised was on. Damn. That wasn't supposed to happen. Yet, Ardyn placed the shroud of false happiness over his face as he spoke.]
I doubt there is anything that can heal my current afflictions, since I've lived with these emotions for many, many years.
no subject
[He's used to this, he waves it off with a little wave of a candle. ]
Perhaps not heal, but is there anything that can make those pains a little easier to bear? To lighten the load?
no subject
[They're a part of him. His very being. Yet, he let them consume him and in exchange grant him super human strength.]
I fear there is very little you can do for me except perhaps join my company in a little drink? I know you can't drink but I can.
no subject
...Well. That is true, but where there is life, there is hope, no?
[That mantra is how he's kept it together for as long as he has. ]
That is fine, I can still sit and give you the company. That is easy.
no subject
Oh, yes hope. That little word that pulls us out of the depths of darkness and depravity.
[Apart from you're still there, dude.]
Perfect. Would you join me aboard the Red Fish or should I come aboard your delightful little vessel?
no subject
[He kinda needs it. ]
Certainly, I can come aboard the Red Fish.
no subject
[Didn't Noct live on Lumiere's ship?]
Then, I shall await you within the shuttle bay for your arrival.
no subject
[She will bitch at him ALL DAY if he lets that happen and he ain't got time for that.]
I will be there before you know it!
no subject
[Get on? You practically went for each other's necks, Ardyn. Best you stay clear of that ship at all costs.]
Good. I shall await you eagerly at the Red Fish's shuttle port. Don't be late.
[He offered Lumiere a coy smirk, before terminating the transmission.]
Video>Action
[It takes him a little longer, because he has to get someone to drop him off (not being able to fly a shuttle is a pain in the ass) but soon, he arrives on the shuttle port, waving off whomever he got to drop him off. ]
no subject
Ah, Lumiere, good to see you!
[Ardyn welcome the candlestick aboard the Red Fish with a tip of his hat. He kept forgetting that Lumiere was only the size of a candlestick, so had to look down to address him.]
Shall we depart for my quarters?
no subject
Likewise, mon ami, and please, lead the way.
no subject
[Another polite smile and Ardyn set off down the corridors of the Red Fish to finally reach his humble abode.]
It's not a patch on my room back home but it meets the most basic of my needs.
[It's not the Empire, Ardyn. You're also in space. Get used to it. He walked in and offered Lumiere a seat. If candles sat down that is.]
no subject
It seems like a fine enough room, lots of space.
[Lumière, there seems so much space because you're so tiny. ]
Bridge - video;
[ Look her home is weird okay. ]
From what I hear, Atroma brings us back when we die. No idea if it's anything like what brings me back when I'm home, haven't talk to anyone that's died here. I also wouldn't be surprised if it's all just for viewers or some shit.
no subject
[That's just a little confusing. On his world, if you die you die.]
It seems there is no escape from the vacuum of space until our captors send us home on their own accord. Death is no escape it seems. A pity.
[If he knew he could get back home by dying then....he'd take that chance.]
no subject
I wield the Light of the Traveler. People like me get brought back to life when they die - to keep fighting, and to protect the Light.
[ She leans to ones side of the video, and her Ghost slowly - almost shyly - floats into the frame. ]
This is my Ghost. He's the one that revives me. [ Beat. ] Haven't actually found out if that works here, or if I'd have to wait on Atroma to bring me back instead.
[ Which is totally worth experimenting, in her opinion, but you can't exactly ask people if they want to help you see what happens when you die, right? Right. ]
If dying could get us out of here, I think we'd have a different kind of problem on our hands.
no subject
[He's heard of people getting locked in crystals, but this? It's on a whole new scale of tech wizardry. The Crystal is more magic anyway.]
Indeed, we would. People would start killing themselves or others just to get themselves back home. It would be carnage, chaos....just think of the outcome of that.
[He felt a smile tug at his lips at the amusement of it all. A macabre side to this man was all too present to show itself when it wanted. Yet, he would hide such feelings for now.]
Does your ghost follow you around everywhere you go?
no subject
[ And yes, that is quite the macabre image! She doesn't notice any sort of tugging of any sort of smile on his part, but on her end, she just shakes her head and sighs. ]
Exactly. Carnage would be an understatement. Though if it seriously got us back home, who knows just how excusable it'd actually be. You know?
[ She glances at her Ghost, then back to the camera. ]
Yeah, he pretty much follows me everywhere. Unless I directly tell him to stay behind.
no subject
[He spoke the words aloud, trying to imagine what that must be like back on her own world.]
A loyal companion I see. Ardyn Izunia at your service. What might I call you?
[Because this guy was all about introductions and manners.]
no subject
[ Oh. Introductions. That thing she's not great at. sjkfsdl Have a stiff nod. (She can't help it, she's military.) ]
Jayden Price. [ She nods at the Ghost... as the thing flits back out of the frame. jfdks ] ... That was Anil. [ SHRUG. ] Are from some version of Earth, too?
no subject
It sounded like an Eden. Oh, to even see a plant or tree again....will it ever happen within this cold vacuum of space?
[He allowed his eyes to briefly flicker past her to focus on his thoughts of home.]
Eos to be precise. You could call it Earth, yes. It has animals, plants and civilisation. Magic too.
no subject
[ Ah. In her world, Eos was a chasma on Mars. Words are fun things. But she nods, understanding what he means. ]
Magic... but no Traveler? What kind of magic?
no subject
[It felt longer to be honest. The passage of time seemed to slow while in space with no sunset or sunrise, it all felt rather surreal.]
Elemental magic. Fire, lightning and ice.
[He will enjoy telling her about these, since he's a master in such arcane arts.]
