[It had taken a few moments for him to actually use the device because of clawed hands, but in the end the network is treated to a bark of laughter followed shortly by an image of a blue dragon? Person? Thing?]

Maa! This is something really new. Like those odd phones that the humans have, and that they keep making more complicated all the time. But that’s not as important. Oi, any other Shikigami or Toujinshi from Ten’ryuu here that can help a lonely Shikigami out? Masaomi isn’t here, because I can’t feel him nearby at all so I don’t think I can fight any of you right now if that's what you really want.

[A brief pause.]

It’s interesting here, but I have a Toujinshi I have to help still and need to get back to him. Maybe even bring him here so he can try all of these odd new foods. He’d probably get a kick out of everything too. So a little help in finding him or what needs to be done to unsummon myself here would be nice.

[Kairi had been alone on the deck for nearly a whole day, with just her and the machines. So needless to say, she's a bit shocked when she hears a new voice booming from somewhere nearby. She was in the middle of eating, but she quickly abandons her food to seek out the new person.

When she finally finds him, she pokes her head into the room and smiles. The fact that he's a blue dragon person doesn't phase her too much. She's hung out with a talking duck and dog, after all.]

Are you new here, too?

[It doesn't take all that long for him to turn towards the voice and smile with a short burst of laughter in greeting.]

Sure am Little Lady, just woke up in this weird place. You humans are pretty creative in things.

[And then he's bowing towards you. What? He spent most of his existence helping out in Japan so he picked up some of their quirks.]

Kibachiyo of the Seiryuu at your service.

Nice to meet you. I'm Kairi.

[She fully steps into the room, though she remains near the entrance.]

I just got here yesterday. Did you find your phone?

And nice to meet you as well Miss Kairi. It's always good to start off on a friendly note in new places Masaomi always use to say.

[He holds up the device in one hand, which looks a bit ridiculous being grasped by his large scaly clawed hands.]

Sure seems more complicated then the ones that the kids seem to use.

That's a pretty good motto! I think people react better to kindness than anything.

[She laughed in agreement, holding up her own communicator.]

I'm a kid, too, and even this is way different than what I had back home. It took me awhile to figure it out.

It does seem that way, which just makes it easier to work together in the long run.

The people who brought us here are pretty strange to give such weird things to us, without some written instructions at least. [Another bark of laughter] At least you figured it out though so it worked out in the end.

I guess they expected us to know how to work them? I'm not sure, but you're right. It does seem silly they didn't at least leave something. Not all worlds have things like phones.

Or the right limbs to use it without worry of breaking it, but they must have a lot of faith in us and their little phones.

At least it's a way to not have to stare at these dull walls only until they finally let us out.

I guess they didn't have all hand sizes in mind when they made these. Maybe you can ask for a bigger phone? Though I don't know who you'd ask. I only got here yesterday myself.

Maybe it's like a challenge that they want me to figure out. Like those weird puzzles that aren't really puzzles some people like to solve.

[He's not all that worried about it.]

Oh, maybe this is a new person place then if you just got here too. We might get lucky and more will show up and we can have a party until they let us go somewhere else.

[She's... not sure about the puzzle thing, honestly, but hey, if he likes to think of it like that, then who's she to stop him?]

That's a good point. It might be. A lot of other people are on different ships that follow this "mothership". I guess at some point we get transferred.

A party? [She giggled, but she had to admit, she liked the idea.] That might be fun. There's certainly enough room for one!

Seems to be that way, hopefully. Would be a very bland death to remain on this thing with nothing to really do.

[He smiles that he got her to laugh.]

Yep, that means we'll have to be on the look out for anyone else.

Oh, Light, I'd hope we wouldn't be here that long.

[Not just on the Marsiva, but away from home in general.]

We'll have wait and see. You're the first person who's arrived since I did. I don't know when we get sent to the other ships, but considering I was alone when I got here, either they don't get a lot of newcomers, or I just missed the cut off for the transfer. I guess we'll find out. Though... it's going to be a weird party, considering the food they have here. Have you seen the kitchen yet?

Oh they at least gave us a kitchen? How nice of them. Though from the way you're acting it's a bit of an adventure then?

Mmmhmm, they have all the basic amenities here. The kitchen is well stocked, it's just not stocked with normal food. At least not normal food where I'm from.

I hate to be the one breaking it to you... but there's no way to, ah, unsummon you.

Aw well it would have been boring if it was that simple after all. Though this place is really uninteresting and weird feeling. Hopefully they'll let me move from here soon.

[Not everyone is as old as dirt and unfazed by things like you are Kibachiyo stop acting so nonchalant over this.]

Well, you're certainly taking the news well, Kibachiyo. I'm Dr. Keller- it's nice to meet you. You're going to be assigned to another ship fairly soon.

Nice to meet ya Dr. Keller, and things tend to work themselves out over time no use getting upset when you just have to wait half a century or so for everything to be completely different when it comes to anything mortal made.

[He'd do a victory dance, but instead he just laughs in joy because this place is really and horribly boring right now.]

That's good, hopefully it won't feel as dead as this does. Never felt this disconnected and I've been in some weird buildings of humans before.

Half a century? [She sounds surprised at that.] I guess if your lifespan is that long, you've lived through some strange things before, huh?

[She nods.]

You'll have a crew and everything- most likely you'll be in close quarters with your crewmates, but still. It'll be a lot less quiet.

Yeah, mortals age so quickly in that time, but the earth barely changes. It's fascinating to see it happen or wake up for a new contract and humans aren't using horses to travel anymore. [He doesn't really understand strange considering he's a giant talking dragon.]

Less quiet is a good thing, silence gets boring really fast, especially when there isn't even anything interesting to look at.

Now that I think about it, it probably doesn't, huh? The people are the ones who change things, not the earth itself. And after a while, I bet few things are surprising, even if they are still interesting.

[She nods agreement.]

Well, we're apparently here to provide entertainment to a television audience, so they'd be bored if our own lives were quiet.

Takes a lot to make the earth and even the spirits that it houses change. It's why you humans are so fascinating. Always moving and growing, and changing your minds so quickly.

[He laughs again.]

Oh! You mean like those really weird shows Masaomi sometimes puts on the television when he says he wants to destroy his mind.

[He's a little too amused at this prospect to be honest.]

I guess if we life such a relatively short amount of time- even if it feels long to us- we have to fit our changing and growth into that timespan. So we do it as fast as we can.

[She snickers.]

Something like that, yeah. It's called a reality TV program- we go about our daily lives and try to impress our audience enough to give us gifts and ship upgrades.

Yep, it's why I envy you humans a bit. You guys have such creativity and all these emotions that conflict and change seemingly at random.

[His grin just gets a bit wider and filled with a bit more fang. It's not a fight, but a challenge is a challenge. It's also better then sitting around being bored.]

Well that sounds like a fun puzzle to figure out.

Yeah... I'm sure immortality does have its downsides, like being mortal or... being anything does, really. There's good and bad.

[She smiles.]

Well, it's good that you're up to the challenge. I wish I could go back home, myself, but we have no choice in the matter.

Luck has to have it's good and bad otherwise it wouldn't be luck. So maybe luck will change for you soon and you'll get home before you know it!

That's true- nobody can have one or the other all the time. I do hope I can go home, though... I've met some people I like here, but I keep thinking about everyone I've left behind.

[Well, this is...different.]

I don't think you can unsummon yourself, unless perhaps you're much more powerful than those who took us here to begin with. Sometimes people do disappear from the ships, but...I don't know what happens to them, and I don't think it can be controlled.

It was worth a shot little lady, just have to hope Masaomi isn't having problems that will need me until whatever this is let's me go. Until then nice to meet ya.

[He gives as much of a bow as he can while awkwardly holding the device]

[Oh, how polite. Shirley returns the bow.]

I'm Shirley, of the Ferines. Is Masaomi a friend of yours?

He's my partner Miss Shirley. I think humans would call him my special person in a way. So finding if he's here or not would help.

[Wow, Kibachiyo, wow]

Do you have anyone you want me to look out for?

[Special person? Like...?

Oh. Well, then, that's a name she'll have to look out for. And on her end--]

My friends, maybe, but I'm hoping that they won't be taken here. We all have things we need to do, and I'd hate for them to be swept up into this like I have been.

I'll hope along with ya then. If there's something important back home to be done then it would be pretty bad to be stuck out whereever this place is.

Yeah...it would be pretty bad.

[She tries not to dwell too much on that.]

For that matter, will your partner be all right without you?

Don't worry, don't worry you have faith in them so they'll do alright.

[Whoops, well he's at least trying to correct his mistake on saying such things to her at least.]

Masaomi? He's pretty willful and human so he has creativity on his side in that regard. [A fond smile shows up as he thinks about this.] At most he'll just be a bit annoyed at having to work some things out differently.

[The part about Masaomi being annoyed gets a better smile out of her.]

It sounds like he'll be just fine, then. That's good.

Unsummon yourself?

[He couldn't even summon his weapon! Who summoned a... dragon... man... person?]

Yep, that's usually what happens for me to be allowed to manifest physically on the mortal plane. So usually it's easier to go back, so this is all really backwards right now.

It's amusing at least.

[Axel just stares for a moment. That answer was a wild ride from beginning to end.]

So... let me get this straight: you're usually an insubstantial immortal dragon person, but you are able to summon yourself from the astral plane to the physical one. And then go back. At will.

... That's different.

Sorta, nowadays it's a lot harder to be physical outside of the spirit realm. That's what contracts with humans are for! They act like the gateway for us by letting us borrow their energy. That's why I probably need to find Masaomi first before I can go back into my Drive.

[He stares a moment longer, then decides it's probably not the weirdest thing he's ever heard.]

Right, then. Ah... good luck, I guess? I dunno anybody named Masaomi, but if I run into any I'll send 'em your way.

[A short bark of laughter]

Thank you for that. Ah! I'm Kibachiyo of the Seiryuu at your service. It's nice to meet ya.

[And he gives a small smirk and bow at that introduction.]

Likewise! We've had a real influx of new faces lately--it's like a party around here.

[Lots of interesting names, for that matter. This one's kind of a mouthful!]

[Kibachiyo gives a sloppy salute wave that he had seen on some random daytime anime that had been left on one time. Captains were an important thing to humans if he remembered correcty.]

Seems like someone got bored if they're bringing you so many of us to talk to.
Nice ta meet you Captain Axel. Maybe we will, while nice these little phone things lack a lot in talking to someone.
